Again mark you’re right ! I think Toney WAS disappointed… that he was losing for most of that fight before scoring the win…. He didn’t have that problem against Barkley !!

Nunn treated the Roldan fight like a sparring session. Completely outclassed him and even mixed it up with Roldan up close to try to prove he tough he was. On the other hand, Roldan almost knocked Hearns out, and he might have done it if Hearns hadn't held on for dear life multiple times in the fight.

So - you're saying Hearns performed better against Barkley than Nunn did? Wow.

I don't see it that way.. Nunn was hit with some big shots and was in a tougher fight than he had been given by anyone at the time.. Look what happened with Kalambay months later..

That is correct, he completely out-classed him.

Totally agree. At his peak he was a true star of boxing. His reflexes against Tate!

You are right, it isn't debatable Thomas Hearns is light years ahead of Ali in every aspect of boxing. Brining up Hearns chin? That has nothing to do with his boxing ability having your chin tested means you aren't doing it right. Ali was more dependent on his chin then nearly any great boxer in history he ate left hooks like candy bars ffs.

You misread my post. I said mark ant's claim WAS debatable.

Hearns 'light years' ahead of Ali in 'every' aspect of boxing? Then why does Ali feature higher than TH in every ATG list? He manages it despite being less skilful than TH?

Skills have no bearing on the number of knockouts a fighter suffers in his career - is that what you are saying?

You seem to suggest it was a cheap shot mentioning TH's chin. I like and admire TH. Not, however, uncritically.

Ali ate left hooks like 'candy' in his prime, did he? Wrong. And even in the '70s only Frazier managed to tag him with the left hook over and over.

You don't know what you are talking about, do you?

A facepalm. That the best you can come up with? Feeble response, Journeyman92. I will skip your posts in future.

Because Ali is the most overrated boxer we have ever seen.
