I am showing solidarity with one of the UK's greatest ever, particularly in her time of need, when the entire boxing world got stuck into her for being robbed of her World Title after having to fight during a period. #TeamShanny
Who wins the purse bid for this do we think? Interesting as Andrade really doesn't seem a big deal in the US. So could Frank get it and make it a big event in Derby? Whoever wins it, I hope they put it on in Derby. Hamzah Sheeraz sells quite a lot of tickets from Birmingham.. Lennox Clarke the same Brad Foster is Litchfield so fairly close
No lose situation for Parker in my eyes a by far career high payday. He will learn a lot about himself and so will the public even if he can't pull off the upset it's a great opportunity.
Parker is a big old boy for the weight, I think it will be close. Andrade will win but think Parker will have moments
The 10 day negotiation period has passed. I wonder if they will announce purse bids or Andrade going elsewhere?
Warren said Matchroom aren’t returning their calls to discuss the fight, so it could be Andrade is going in another direction.
The issue with Andrade is that he is just waiting out for a mega fight that just doesn’t seem to ever be coming. He’s 33 now, he’s been a pro for 14 years and been a champion for 9 years yet he’s only faced 2 or 3 genuine top 10 guys (I’d say Martiroyson, Culkay and Williams were probably 10 ten when he fought them) but he’s never had that massive fight with another champion. This, paired with the fact his style doesn’t really lend itself to someone getting old (relies on reflexes, movement and good hand speed) means that if he doesn’t get his big fight soon, you’ll find he just turns old over night and gets beat up by someone he would have leathered 5 years ago. That said, his last few fights have shown he’s still got a good amount left and I can’t see Parker beating him, though will probably push him over 12 rounds, 8-4 style decision.
Don't know you know. Parker has looked good lately. Andrade will be the favouite but hes nothing special. He has a padded resume, struggled with Culcay, Williams and Matirosyan, is getting on a bit in age and is moving up in weight.
