Joe Louis vs Alexander Povetkin

see what you said you think on vid we got joe moving stiff and slow he would be ko by povetkin since he moved way better then joe was used to fighting your pick is odd he loses watch vids of how they fought then and compare to when pov fought no reason to pick joe when you watch

 

I kind of like Povetkin in this one because of how he crowds his opponents. Louis never really liked to have his space sucked up and Povetkin tends to fight well close in. He's got a good chin and nifty head movement which I think would stand him in good stead here. Of course with a guy like Louis it could be that he catches him with something big and then blitzes him, that's also a possibility. But I think stylistically Povetkin would be problematic for Louis.

Louis didn't have the fastest feet, true, but I don't know if it would matter that much against Povetkin, who would always be right in front of him. Louis' plodding feet would be a major problem against guys like Fury or Usyk, however.

 

I could see Povetkin giving Louis a good fight, but realistically, you would have to make Louis the favorite.

 

his feet wasnt the problem only he was missing mutiple advances in upperbody movement 70s-90s had he would be ran through by mutiple 70s-90s boxers mid and high

the way they went to to toe in his era is nothing compared to 70s-90s which they wasnt as simple so povetkin could stand there and put him out with his advanced angle use of punches he wins easy

 

Louis by 5th round ko. Povetkin might land some decent punches in the first two rounds but Povetkins defense would let him down.
