Well greb is probably a contender from how his style is described.

Either Greb or Armstrong, though some may call Duran a swarmer as well.

There is no footage of him, stop it and move on. Nobody alive has ever seen him fight

Armstrong probably represents the pinnacle of the style.

Tbh, I might argue that Frazier and Tyson are more dangerous swarmers than Armstrong.

Bert Cooper is also a terrific swarmer too. An explosive starter with fight ending right hands, left hooks and even uppercuts.

Briscoe deserve a mention as well. He had Monzon and Hagler backing up for reason y'know..

There's no video of Greb at all, so calling him the best swarmer ever just based on some dumb quotes is not ok.
Armstrong has a far bigger claim than probably anyone else at being the greatest swarmer. Don't know if he's also the best p4p though.

What's interesting is that it's probably Armstrong but in reality, the film of Armstrong that is readily available than people realise I think.

How many Armstrong knockouts have you seen?

I think the best swarmer on film might be a prime Joe Frazier. That's mad. Because heavyweights are never the best example of anything on film. But when you look at him doing his work he's pinning down guys with elite footwork with real brilliance. The gantry cam at FOTC shows him matching Ali step for step along the rope it is absolutely terrifying.

I don't know if this is technically racist or not but...it is bigoted.
