Just watched an interview featuring his brother Dean Povetkin. Gave off very obvious "the fight isn't happening unless they pay him more" vibes. It's a shame. I just hope the WBC remove him as mandatory for good and tell him to do one.

The whole thing stinks! I’ll be amazed if this fight goes ahead. Thing is though, if whyte does duck then he will have to rebuild again. He’s not ranked in the top 15 of any of the other governing bodies right now. So it’s not as if he can try and face someone like charr or Trevor Bryan for those regular wba belts. he’ll probably pull out injured at the 11th hour and offer the fight to someone else while whyte still stays as number 1 in line for the wbc
