Camacho fought nothing like Floyd and didn`t have Hearns power, Leonard`s chin wa gone by that stage, Camacho did not have Duran`s power.

Benitez was a master at slipping and countering, I don`t believe you`ve seen him fight. I believe Ray beat Benitez with power and speed.

No Canelo was green when he fought Floyd, Benitez had already beaten Cervantes before he met Ray.

I'm reluctant to get back in this thread but I agree with the sentiment in your posts that it is ludicrous to discount where an athlete in any sport is in his or her career when evaluating him or her. More than one poster is doing just that in this thread to his or her discredit

Who cares? Benitez had already drawn with Weston and struggled badly with Bruce Curry. If he had to move up and fight Canelo, I think he would’ve lost. Canelo would pack on pounds before entering the ring and go at Benitez’s body.

Canelo must be the only guy in history with 40+ victories and unified titles to be referred to as “green.” Btw he beat undefeated Trout who’s had practically washed Miguel Cotto. That was a solid win.

And I love how you can’t use Canelo’s age against him in this comparison.

Canelo and Pac are both higher in the all time ratings than Benitez.

They had better careers than Benitez but Benitez is in the IBHOF so he's no joke. The question is what point of their careers these gentleman were when they fought. Leonard certainly got the very best version of Benitez.

And, like I said, I think Benitez would lose if he had to move up and fight Canelo.

I also think Pac’s versatility and experience would probably get him a win over Benitez, but that would be close. Benitez had mixed results against southpaws in Hope and Hamsho.

Prime for prime I like Canelo and Manny. As to the Canelo who fought Floyd I'd say it's a pickem and for the Pac who fought Floyd I like Benitez

Canelo did not fight at Wilfredo`s level v Lara or Floyd, he has improved vastly, he`s simply learned from tyhe Floyd fight and his draw v GGG.

Floyd didn't beat the best version of Manny. I hope that observation isn't in dispute. Neither faced the best version of the other. It reminds me a bit of Tyson -Lewis. I believe Lennox beats the best version of Tyson but neither faced the bwst version of the other.

That’s a dog**** comparison. Floyd and Manny were literally 1 and 2 pfp. Lewis was top ten and Tyson was top nothing.

We all know why he says that Benitez was nothing and he can’t be included when evaluating Ray’s career.

We are looking at the specific versions who Floyd fought.
