Whyte is not in the process of walking away. He is maximising his earnings and by the sounds of it will end up better off having dealt with Arum.
I mean he would be the biggest **** in British boxing if he did. Would have more respect if its just because he has got the cycles wrong
Not happy with BTs production is an amazing line. Just turning down a world title shot because your ring walk might not look good enough.
He’s already getting a bonus with the 20%. In that he doesn’t deserve to be where he is, because of the Povetkin defeat, so don’t be an ingrate, Dill’! The rematch over the barely recovered, stumbling Covid victim, does not avenge or erase Whyte being stretched out by the Russian in his promoter’s own garden.
I know what you’re saying but he took a chance numerous times and stayed active. Can’t remember the facts properly but hadn’t heard already been mandatory for ages before that. Obviously he was getting a lot of money but until the fight before I think against Hunter people were still taking highly about Povetkin. I’d rather he carried on fighting as he did rather than taking the Callum Smith route of doing nothing for months or years waiting for shots. I know he knocked back AJ which is stupid as I think that’s his most winnable fight out of the top men but I do think Whyte is slaughtered a bit too much on here.
Lets be honest if whyte pulls out this he is biggest **** house in UK boxing Excuse Central. If I'm wrong al apologies but I would assume he made very good money off the rivas fight, Parker fight 2nd chisora fight and 2 x povetkin fights ( 5 fights ) so I'm assuming he's a very comfortable millionaire. He knocked back millions to fight for World title against Joshua. And now he may knock back millions to fight fury for World title Pathetic. He's made good money will make his biggest payday to fight for a world belt something he hasn't achieved when if he wins it will call shots. If he pulls out no one can defend him
I can see Hearn trying to make Whyte vs Joshua. If he lets Whyte fight Fury and Joshua fight Usyk, his stable will be in huge trouble.
lol If Whyte is only worth 20% percent of one of the biggest purse bids in the history of the sport. Then if he pulls out, by that reasoning Fury could just fight a Charr or a Wallin instead and kill it on the PPV... Or perhaps the reality is this fight is as big as it is because of both fighters' involvement and 20% is the WBC once again playing favourites and messing Whyte and the fans around
The 80-20 split would barely get a mention if Hearn hadn't manouevred Whyte into headlining his STACKED PPV cards. Nobody asked for any of the fights Whyte 'headlined', and at the time you had people arguing it wasn't a bad thing for the sport. Now you see why it is so problematic - even routine mandatory defenses are difficult to get over the line when you've spent years serving up garbage on PPV.
