Who are the fighters you can prove fibbed about their heights? And what is your evidence?

Speaking of heights, I wanted to mention James Toney was listed as 6ft for his fight with Nunn. Yet I've seen it listed 5' 11", 5' 11.5", 5' 10", and 5' 9". Standing next to him, I would say the 5' 10" is about right. McCallum also was listed at 6 or 6' 1" before one of his fights and I remember the commentators calling him the "body stretcher". Against Toney he was 5' 11.5". I guess everyone adds an inch on lol. I always thought Roger Mayweather was tall, like 5' 9", but he was always listed as 5' 7", never made sense to me. I've seen Hamed's height as 5' 2" and 5' 3", now I see it listed as 5' 5".

Also, Alan Minter was listed as 5' 9", yet I thought he had to be 5' 11" or 6ft. Hagler was 5' 10" and he looked two inches taller. That never made sense to me either.

All of them honestly. You’d have a hard time finding one that isn’t altered for one reason or another same with the reach.

Hagler was less than 5'10"-& you can see him listed everywhere from 5'8"-5'10"., & he certainly looks to me on the *shorter* side of that.
Duran got the idea to fight him because they were not so far apart in height.
How do you think that he looks 6'?

I always thought that he was 5'8" or so.

I believe Toney himself has stated he's 5'9

    I've met Hughie Fury. He's not 6'5, nevermind 6'6.
    He might be 6'4.

Marvin Hagler was actually 4 ft 11 inches but he wore boots that add an extra half a foot and had an extendable neck which he would use any time he was officially measured. That’s the only logical explanation I can find for his officially listed height.

Ok so, myself and a few friends went to Vegas to see the Minter/Antourfermo fight, after the win Minter held a party on the floating galley that was then in the foyer of Ceaser Palace (yes a floating boat, and not a small one ) half an hour into the party I saw my chance and pounced on Minter to ask for a photo with the new champ, how surprised was I that he was eye ball to eye ball to me, and I stood 5-9, some how thought he was a lot taller than that ?? by the by, won £1,500 on the win, you yanks thought Alan had no chance. stay safe guys.

My dad walked past Hagler once, and he said to me that Hagler was 'short'. My dad's 5'10", so take that as you will.

I stood next to Brian Mitchell once, who always claimed to be 5'6", but he seemed tiny, no taller than my late mom, who was 5'4".
    But who knows?
    Footwear also can distort things.

Go to this video and scroll to the 5 second mark. Minter is clearly looking down at him. Never seen Hagler listed less then 5' 10".

A person's height can vary by an inch or more over the course of a day, so it probably doesn't do to be too obsessive.
