Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Oleksandr Usyk if both were the same size.

Floyd would beat the brakes off Usyk. Usyk been fighting B class fighters his whole career. I like Usyk but sadly he is the product of a very weak era. Floyd by embarrassment.

 

At HW or at LW? Pretty huge difference

 

Seems like a silly fight to make. a 5ft 8 inch LW/WW vs a 6ft 3 CW/HW.

Might as well make it Lewis vs Inoue. Who'd win at the same weight? It's apples and oranges.

Floyd would never be able to become a CW/HW. It's too much bulk to add on. And do you really think Usyk would ever go down to that weight? Usyk is a natural Cruiserweight, that's what he's naturally built for IMO.

Lowest I could ever see Usyk going down to is LHW at 180/190. Which is still too much for Floyd.

 

Not sure I get how it's that hard to fathom - it's always been the nature of P4P as far as I can see it - whether u magically shrink Usyk or inflate Floyd, how would you see it going if they could come into the ring in the same division - e.g. a theoretical bout at 168 with Uysk being shrunk and Floyd being inflated.

It's a mighty intriguing one - both guys have very few weaknesses.

I'd probably go Usyk simply due to his workrate in the championship rounds, but Floyd has the skills and underrated pop to keep Usyk honest for sure, make him miss and pay.

It's a stupid comparison though because p4p should only be for a comparison of achievements. But in regards to head to head, you can't possibly fathom how fighters of massively different weights would do against each other because there's no where near enough evidence to prove how they'd perform at that weight.

If they've never performed at that weight that how would you know? You cannot assume that inoue would slaughter if he was a heavyweight because you don't know how his abilities would be effected by adding an extra 80lbs to him and being hit by fighters 80-100lbs heavier.

There's not enough evidence to make an accurate prediction on. I get comparing old and new fighters in the same weight class, and fighters of the same or similar weight class that have not fought yet, but fighters that are separated by so much weight, you just cannot know.

There's too many variables.

 

The size difference makes is too hard for me to imagine them being the same weight class. But if we're comparing skill set vs skill set then I'd say Mayweather is a level above Usyk.

 

Floyd would do better vs Loma lite aka Usyk. With fair judges i can see a draw or MD in favor of floyd. Loma would drown the **** out of floyd en route to a near shutout.

What a stupid comment. A guy who lost to Salido and Lopez would defeat Floyd. Don’t be bloody stupid. Mayweather has beaten much better fights than Loma.

 

Well said and I would go further to say it’s not even a case of not thinking but know Floyd would destroy Lomachenko. At those weight Floyd was an absolute killer a combination puncher master blaster.

 

Thread is about Usyk and floyd, but people are still hating on Loma.
