If the count was legitimate that would mean the knockdown was as well you idiot. No, I'm saying that price was somewhat competitive by making Povetkin have to break him down and work for the stoppage by having decent defense the first few rounds. No, this is a walkover This content is protected Schmeling offers basically no resistance and gets battered from pillar to post until he is brutally taken out. What's laughable is being dropped by a guy like Price.
For their size, yes. Outright better? Yeah I don't think so. Takam has over 70lb of size over Conn and is a busy fighter. Price is a decent fighter. Hell, I'll take him over a lot of Louis' opponents. Nah. If you think Walcott for instance would have had the same success Pov had against Povetkin's opponent lineup then I think you are flat out wrong. Marciano would be charging head first into giants every single fight. And don't get me started about Schmeling. He'd be a good LHW today. They were the size of a relatively large 1930 HW. Most were under 200lb.
No, I'd straight up pick Conn over Takam in a fight. I'm confident that Conn would give Sasha more problems than very simplistic Takam. What? Like who for example? I don't think Price is better than any of giants Louis faced. Maybe Simon, but even here it's a big leap of faith from me. Again, you only look at size. Walcott and Schmeling weren't smaller than Byrd. Actually, I think the average Louis opponent is above 200 lbs. I'd have to calculate it again. I remember that Max Baer faced 205 lbs opponent on average for example. EDIT: Louis opponent on averaged weighed 196.9 lbs, so you are right - it is below 200 lbs.
Yeah, I don't understand why people say that someone like Takam is a giant next to Louis opponents, but they don't treat Galento the same way. Takam is short, stocky and overweighed fighter with very simple style. Nothing to rave about.
Funny fact - Takam and Conn are the same height. I'd take Conn to outbox Takam in 12, 15 or whatever number of rounds.
Povetkin faced serious problems against Takam through rounds 1-5. . He couldn't get passed Takams jab and was missing all of his hooks. If he wasn't roided to the gils he may have lost. When you look at the success Takam had with the jab , it puts into perspective how poorly Klitschko performed with a jab against Povetkin. Takam won 4 maybe 5 rounds with clean boxing. No clinching required. Klitschko on the other hand couldn't win a single minute against Povetkin with clean boxing behind a jab.. lol
Even in his last fight, against Joyce, at the age of 40, he looked pretty muscular and fit. There was certainly no excess flab hanging out over his trunks - so why do you attempt to make him worse, than he really is?
Here's the fight. Dino is lying as usual: This content is protected Just in round 1: 2:18 hook to the body 1:59 double left hook 1:45 right hook 1:33 jab 1:21 jab to the body 1:16 left hook, partly parried 0:50 left hook 0:12 left hook Takam exhibited good foot and head movement to throw Povetkin off, two things that Louis is weak at.
