2 pounds and Kell has made weight all his career. The fact Khan conceded to make it 149 tells me he is struggling to make147 as well.

He'll definitely make 149 on the dot. A lot of people are looking at Brooks last fight against Crawford and they're taking far too much from it.

    1. He didn't have Dom Ingle training him for that fight. He had Carlos Formento who is more of a friend than a boxing trainer.

    2. His nutritionist Greg Marriot wasn't in camp due to covid restrictions. Greg has been a very significant figure in Kells career for the past decade. He is the reason Kell was able to make 147 safely in the first place.

So for me, even though I'm a huge Kell fan, it's not fair to judge Kell for that Crawford fight.

For this fight he's back with his life long coach who knows him inside out. And they've studied Khan for years. His nutritionist is back in this camp so he is getting the right amount of fuel in Kell while cutting down in weight.

I recently watched an interview with Dom and he said "Kell was eating pancakes, ice cream and chocolate one morning; his weight is that good atm". That's very positive to hear tbh.

Hope I'm wrong...but I don't think I am....both shot to ****...Kell more shot....hes not looked good since the Spence fight

Khan's not looked good since the Alexander fight...but something about his confidence about this fight and Kell looks rattled to all hell

Khan has been living in Brook's head rent free for years.

Khan always looks and sounds confident until his chin is hit. Khan thinks its all joke whereas far from rattled Kell is deadly serious full of malevolent intentions towards Khan. This fight is redemption for Brook.

Is anyone else hoping these two just knock each other out? One last laugh from this laughable "rivalry".

Kells to old to bubble down to 147 over the last few week of camp, he needed to get his weight down many weeks before camp ends so that the water on his brain can balance properly. At his age the brain doesnt rehydrate back the way the body does, hence losing punch resistance when boiling down late in camp and trying to rehydrate before the fight.
I've said it once and i'll say it again, if Kell has made weight sensibly, he will whoop Khan.

By all factors it's really not possible for Brook to make weight sensibly, making weight at all is no good. Khan was wise to this...he slimmed down before he hit a full camp which Brook didn't have the opportunity to do.

Put it even simpler - If this was 147 Brook would die on the scale...Khan gave him 2 pounds so he doesn't get KO'd at the weigh in.

Khan has this fight in the bag unless he gets clipped at very bad moment.

I'd like to think they can both shock us and pull something extra out of their tanks but all the evidence says they are almost empty.

I can agree that Khan has been very clever managing his own weight pre camp and leaving not much time for Brook, but I beleive Ingle will be the difference in this camp and I don't think we will see the sunken eyed skeletor Kell we saw pre Crawford. I stand by my assessment, and those extra 2lbs, used well, will make a difference.

It pains me as a Lancastrain to lean towards a white rose in this fight, but having seen both struggle with punch resistance over the years (one more naturally than the other), I see the weight being the main factor in the fight. (Plus Khans an anus, so its easy to want to see him do the chicken dance).

I'm not sure difference Ingle will make to be honest - unless they can reconise that Kell isn't the fighter he was.
If he sits at mid range trying to time Khan like he has done VS many other fighter he may come unstuck - Khan#'s glass chin always gives his opponent a chance but with Kell's weight problems he might run out of steam before he can land it.
it maybe that if Brooks waiting to time Khan for minutes at a time he's shipping punishment and points and the tank is draining all the time.

It's a tough fight to call because they match up so well but they are also well past their best.

So a question if power is the last thing to go. Can a guy who has a decent dig, but will probably not be at his peak weight come fight night and is long past his best, still land the KO punch?

I still think Khan will win but i'm not betting on it.

Kell just has to stay calm and patient for 4 or 5 rounda until Khan slows those pitter patter rinse and repeat flurries that he does repeatedly and he can 'nelo' khan for another showreel KO...
