If Evander really had a major heart attack where his liver and kidneys were on the verge of failure I doubt he finishes the fight or ever fights again. I'm not a physician but I'm reasonably certain one would agree with my observation.
Yes. Holyfield would be in hospital quite a while, and when and if he comes out he'd be basically.. Not boxing.
I'd say he was solid without ever being upper echelon, bit below the very top Heavyweights of the 90s. But i did used to enjoy his fights, he had some terrific battles vs Botha, Alex Stewart, Bert Cooper.
I agree about Moorer at 175. He was devastating in the bouts he had but far from proven. He reminds me of Oscar at 130 and 135. Bigger and overpowering for that weight class. Always suspected HBO helped him with "making weight". Anyway both Moorer and DelaHoya would have been hurting for certain if they got taken into deep water at those weights by the best guys going at that time.
He had a helluva war with Bertram Blair Cooper when Cooper was fighting at his best. Moorer climbed off the canvas a few times to do away with Bert. Moorer showed big heart that night. Coop might not be in the HOF but one thing he had was a punch. Ask Ray Mercer and Evander.
I just had kidney failure on January 13th. I was on deaths doorstep. Been out of the hospital for 3 days. No Way Holyfield fought in that condition.
