Yeah smokin joe would kill wilder, we could already see how great he did against someone like foreman, who is not even punching nearly as hard as wilder. Also wilder would definitely fold under fraziers power, even thought he took punches from a guy that is literally 5 weight classes above him.

 

Wilder is not establishing a jab against Frazier. Wilder is not setting up the right hand against Frazier. Wilder has miniscule puncher's chance, because the window between Joe being outside and moving in inside to demolish him is small, and Frazier's preferred fighting range naturally crowd's his right hand, preventing full extension.

What's there to bail out Wilder? His worse than a 10-years-old-on-a-skipping-rope balance? His mediocre conditioning and utter lack of punch variety other than jab-right hand-windmill?

A bad referee who allows for incessant, Akinwande-esque clinching would be required for Wilder to have a chance, and even then he might not Frazier away.

You don't get it: 6'7 modern athlete KO artist champions don't stand a chance against 5'10, half-blind, slightly chinny 205 pounders from 50 years ago. Wilder just doesn't have the speed, reflexes, length or power to KO African American super-athlete Frazier in the first round.
