Yeah you are one of those people who will try to spend things to try to prove your point. You are dismissed. Blocked.
Lol who cares? Lewis could say the same thing when Rahman or McCall knocked him down. That he didn't see the punch coming but you are another person who will spend things in a way to try to benefit you so you could get blocked.
Took him 13 to stop Cooney and couldn't chin Norton. Im sure it goes the distance whether it be 12 or 15 rounds against Lewis
Why are you so emotional on a boxing forum ? blocking people because you can't a have a normal conversation where two people differ in opinions ? That's the whole point of a forum to "debate" and for people to share their thoughts, not everyone will agree. But if you're going to act like a child and throw your toys out the pram, because you can't get your own way in a debate. Then you can also be added to the block list, because i can't honestly believe you're serious you must be trolling. And that's me done with this thread, I'm not here to argue with people so goodbye to you.
Cooney was a lot lighter, quicker and fitter than Big Len. Big Len is too big and cumbersome to win a round against the best pure boxer (lb4lb) in history, who was loose and relaxed and mobile and fast. Big Len wasn’t too big and slow for the fellow gigantic 90s/00s powerhouse hw’s
The closest thing to Holmes that Lewis faced was old Holyfield, I'd say. In the second fight he gave Lewis some issues with his movement and jab. Too bad we never got to see Lewis against Byrd.
Lewis wins for me. Holmes never best anyone close to the competition Lewis fought. Holmes’s only two notable wins are against an old Muhammad Ali and an Old Ken Norton. Lewis on the other hand has been in there with some of the best to ever lace them up. Lewis would use his big fight experience and he would be able to control the rage and methodically tire Holmes out and take him out late. I’m going with Lewis via KO/11.
Cooney also had less boxing ability, less reach, a much lesser jab, a much weaker resume, almost no right hand, less physical strength, worse timing, no Emanuel Steward, less intelligent pressure and significantly less punch variety. How about we talk about when Holmes struggled with the 84 inch reach of contender Carl Williams. I actually slightly favor Holmes and i think his jab and his severely underrated handspeed wins him the fight but you're assessment is laughable.
This is the stupidest sh*t I've read in this forum. Have you never seen Larry schooled Mercer? The man who Lewis struggled and controversially won? Have you never seen Larry make Holyfield run for his money? Have you never heard if Trevor Berbick? Renaldo Snipes? Mike Weaver? James Smith? Tim Witherspoon? Those aren't "not even close to Lewis's competition" type fighters. Those fighters just as good if not better. And anybody who thinks Lewis wins by KO/TKO needs to watch boxing more bcuz that ain't happening.
Carl Williams at his best would’ve out-jabbed the **** out of Lennox Lewis. Heck, Bruno at his cumbersome big old worst managed it.
If you’re a very good modern middleweight and you spar a welterweight with the best boxing ability possible (though not a massive punch), you’re being beaten up. A tough as nails light welter that welter struggles with though.
