How anyone can think there is any malice in this is beyond me. He is just unfortunately really really stupid. His argument was "it is a tourist attraction, you have fun at tourist attractions" If we could all have such a simple view on life I think more of us would enjoy our time on the planet
This is what does my head in about life now. Everybody assumes that people think in the same ways and we're all on a level playing field intelligence wise - we are not.
I’ve been to Auschwitz, it’s a weird place and a lot of people act awkwardly because they’re not sure what to do, a bit like being at a funeral. There’s nothing wrong with smiling IMO. The problem now is that people feel the need to constantly take pics of themselves and post them on the internet. Overall I give him a pass, I’m sure he was there to learn history, not have a good laugh or bawl his eyes out.
The issue was that when he had it pointed out to him how inappropriate it was he spent the whole day doubling down and having a go back. He only deleted it the following day.

I can only imagine the sort of conversations there were in the Coldwell gym when it had Bellew, Fowler and the McConnell twins in. There are zoo enclosures around the country where animals are flinging their own turds at each other thay are displaying more intelligence.
You’d probably fit right in with them. What a spectacularly dumb comment. The reason these lads had a career at boxing was precisely because they’re not top of the class at Eton. If they were way above average intelligence they would of studied for a suitable white collar job. They grew up on less than salubrious estates and it was probably pretty clear from early on they weren’t cut out for academia so chose and found something that doesn’t require book smarts. Don’t be as ignorant as the people who are seemingly getting irate at McDonnell for his lack of awareness.
