Have always been a fan of both as fighters. Khan been in some great fights, always brave but so brainless sometimes. Brook didn't have the popularity, Eddie couldn't deliver him the big fights once he won the 147 title which led to the GGG destruction. Also think Brook deserves a lot of credit for the Spence performance, coming back down from 160lb and that fight was highly competitive until the 10th, I remember Adam Booth on BBC Commentary had it spot on in that it was elite level boxing at its best. I'm routing for Brook purely because he always wanted the fight, and never liked the way Khan talked down about him not deserving a shot after he won a world title and Khan continued to call out Pacman and Mayweather even when he was completely off their radar. Brook never had the same opportunities as Khan mainly due to not having that Olympic medal winner profile which gets you a head start. So on that note I hope Brook shuts Khan up. But I have a bad feeling Khan stays disciplined for this fight and dances around for decision in an anti-climax of a fight
I just cant see brook not tagging him, and with Khan having zero punch resistance I just cant see brook not sparking him. Amir doesn't dig hard so those fast flurries aren't going to stop brook , just cant see it.
5 years ago against Spence @ 147 Brook looked horrible at the weigh in, still fought decently. Interesting to see how well he made 149. Face not badly drawn in. Fight will be a good one. Bet both of them have shot legs, Khan unable to get in and out as quickly and Brook unable to move backwards as quickly. Both neutralize and they both end up in a war.
I like both fighters and give credit to them both for getting it on. Khan takes it for me, Kell is too focused and that is not a good thing, he needs to have a controlled focus without the hate otherwise it will work against him. Khan in Nine.
Brook is in great shape. They both look to be in great shape. They're out of their primes, but it's still a great match up. Look forward to the intensity on fight night.
So Brook makes weight easily. Amazing what you can achieve with some professionalism and dedication. This fight could've been made years ago if he wasn't such so work shy.
Khan and his fanboys seem to genuinely think he's some master boxer, and I just don't get it. Khan struggled against Algieri. Floyd, even the version that fought McGregor, would 12-0 Algieri.
What's a master boxer? Any boxer on any given night can struggle against an underdog opponent. I'm Khan's biggest fanboy so please question away as to what I think of him, Amir King Khan the greatest fighting man since Tyson Fury. The biggest British boxing Icon since Lennox Lewis. The iron chinned warrior. The fastest man on the planet.
