Your definition doesn't have any logic though. You can't define a concept by using this concept in definition. How can you fail to see it? It's something children are taught in school, very basics of logical thinking.

 

He was in and out during his run as number 1 contender, He beat Charles to win it, then Charles beat 2 contenders to regain it. With 2 fights a year for Rocky Marciano, a lot of the top contenders were fighting to get that title spot when Marciano defends the championship.
