If MOST 90s-2000s punchers hit as hard as Shavers, how would we know?

You are shifting the goal posts once again. First you said cruiserweight sized opponents, then you changed the criteria to 215+, now you want to talk about skill.

You just don't want to admit you were wrong.

The only fighter on the list Tyson faced who was a lot better than the ones Shavers fought was Holmes (who was old and inactive). Tyson's 80's resume isn't that amazing lol.

I just used his own logic and proved Tyson was feather fisted. He is making excuses because he's biased and can't form an original thought of his own.

The 215 number isn't even his idea, it's something he got from a blog that he didn't give credit to. So he's not only biased and inconsistent, he's a plagiarist.

Ali's chin is still far more proven than Vitali's and he's the better fighter too. That's not even up for debate. The moment you used Sanders rocking Vitali as evidence, this discussion was over because Shavers managed to rock Ali. You also used quotes to prove Sanders power and Ali also has a quote saying Shavers was the hardest puncher and Ali is the authority on what it feels like to get nailed by a big shot. Both of the methods you used for Sanders fall short compared to Shavers.

Tyson is not described as the "hardest puncher ever". Even Tyson fans don't see him as the hardest puncher ever. He's not even in my top 5 in terms of pure 1 punch power. He obviously had great power, but what made him great was his ability to land it and his accuracy.

I've already pasted the link to that said blog on a thread on this forum. I'm not gonna do it every time I talk about Shavers.
My point was that when Shavers faced bigger men, his KO ratio dropped significantly.
I never claimed Tyson was the hardest puncher. I don't even have him in my top 5. And plus, he ain't got nothing to do with our discussion.
My point remains: Shavers in not the biggest puncher.

    Your point is wrong.

    You're not being consistent.

    First you said cruiserweight.

    Then you said 215.

Then you said the men he faced weren't skilled.

So if you're including large unskilled men when factoring in his KO% to come up with a low figure, you're being a hypocrite. When I demonstrated Tyson also had a low KO% you changed the conversation to talk about skill.

You can't use fights outside of Shavers prime but refuse to include fights outside Tyson's prime when it's inconvenient. If you want to cherry pick literally every single man over 215 shavers faced, you do realize Tyson's % would go down rapidly including men like Lewis, McBride, Williams, etc?

Shaver's KOd or stopped several skilled men over 215. Your argument is statistically wrong.

But to answer the OP. Tex has shot every man who hit harder then Shavers so I'd just cut this argument short.

My top 5 are (in no order, cause it's too hard to say):
Wladimir K., Wilder, Lewis, Foreman, Liston. You might also put Tua in there.

It doesn't matter how Tyson's ratio would be, he is not in the top 5 either. And the men he faced were more skilled, that is fact, not an excuse. Tyson beats everyone Shavers ever faced.

Liston's best victims were generally cruiserweights as well, or at least below the blog's arbitrary 215 pound cutoff. Foreman might also run into that problem.

Personally, giving everyone the benefit of the doubt, I don't think it's necessarily plagiarism for @White Bomber to repeat an idea from online without citing it every time you use it in a forum post. I've learned things about boxing from you, for example, and may repeat them consciously or unconsciously on this forum without citing the posts they came from. To give one instance, I seem to remember your thorough breakdowns of Joe Louis in response to people criticizing his style. If the issue comes up again, I may repeat it because I think it's right; your posts have become part of the forum's common hoard of general wisdom.

That said, one of the main issues I see with @White Bomber relying on the blog is that it looks like the boxing equivalent of pseudoscience. It looks like the private musings of a person enamored of boxing statistics, which are insulated from criticism and ignore context factors that are so key in mainstream boxing analysis.

Tyson beating everyone shavers faced is your opinion, not a fact, and is completely irrelevant.

The math doesn't lie. Bringing up things like skill or who you think would beat who are irrelevant side conversations. Both Tyson and Shavers are feather fisted according to YOUR criteria.
