Tough call. My first impulse is to pick Foreman, but it is not a comfortable pick. It is hard to pick against a prime Foreman as I believe only a handful could have beaten him. Foreman was a monster in the early rounds and to beat him someone would have to either take him out early or get past the early rounds with enough left to gas him for a TKO or outpoint him. Neither would be easily done. Vitali had physical advantages that a prime Foreman seldom if ever saw in an opponent. He had a good chin, endurance, and seldom lost rounds. He could be cut and his stoppage losses were in fights that he had been winning. Movers gave both young and old Foreman the most trouble and I never thought of Vitali as a mover in that regard. So I'm inclined to go with George by TKO in 4 or 5 rounds.
6'3 230 pound past his prime Corrie Sanders hurt Vitali badly. Vitali punched and punched Sanders over and over and couldn't knock him down either though Rahman did and so did Nate Tubbs in 2 rounds. Vitali was a strong punches not a explosive puncher. Vitali would probably get hit with a big punch early and try to run and eventually get stopped
George Foreman gets my vote in this match up, and I'd put a lot of money down on my pick here. It takes a really slick boxer to beat a prime George, and that's not Vitali. I think Vitali could hit pretty good, but not like George could. Foreman's punching power was something special.
This would be a dream fight. But I have Vitali by KO late. I think he survives a early Foreman rush and starts to outwork him. I think an early Foreman had stamina issues in the late rounds. Vitali is one fighter that will not tire, and he has a great punch output from all rounds 1 -12. Vitali might be shook, and may even get hurt. But I do not think Foreman stops him, That leads to him getting tired and getting hit. Vitali is a big puncher in his own right.
Vitali mostly irritates Foreman for a few rounds. The former gets pulverized after finding out he doesn't punch like Ron Lyle, or box like Jimmy Young. 4 rounds, max.
Foreman got dropped by featherfist Ali and Young. Klitschko would jab Foreman silly then batter him to a stoppage. Foreman is outmatched in every category: size, skill, height, stamina.
Foreman ,Ali, Lewis, Holmes and maybe the mythical prime Tyson would be, IMHO, at least even money against any boxer in history.
Foreman has a better jab than Vitali, he hits harder than Vitali and Foreman has tremendous skill in cutting off the ring, even Ali said so. Vitali had to control distance and he'd be unable to with George . Also, what's Vitali's best win again compared to Foremans?
