Ali fans are like most people on this forum. They don't know what they are talking about. You see these 60-70 plus year old guys here who act like because you boxed back in the day you couldn't lose. Ali at his peak lost 3 times to Ken Norton. He got two gift wins but according to Ali he knew he lost. If Norton could beat Ali then so would Holyfield.
Holyfield can't beat Muhammed Ali, he can't outbox him , he doesn't hit hard enough to Ko him, and he's not enough of a pressure fighter like Frazier to wear him down. Look at Ali's resume , then look at Holyfield's. He's got nothing but toughness and a desire to fight against a prime Ali.
Holyfield could do it all. He would happily push Ali to the ropes and attack with his versatile arsenal.
Don't you care at all about being credible-if you do not care at all about being fair? You must know enough about boxing to know that Ali was not peak in the 1970's right? You must know you continually distort the weight & size of fighters to make them smaller than they were. Your strong bias is fine-some older guys have the opposite bias. But when you distoryt the facts, you HARM your repuation & if anything make people more skeptical about your opinon, damaging your cause & case.
In his peak his competition was not as stiff. Holyfield would have beaten everyone in the 60s. Most likely stopped them all.
Some of these replies have to be troll alts, I refuse to believe there are always the same "controversial opinion" replies while every account types the same.
I hope you're kidding, Holyfield outboxes Muhammed Ali? And your fantastically comical comment that Evander has a better resume than Ali!! Ha,ha,ha,ha, Liston Patterson Williams Chuvalo Frazier Foreman, the young version not that dinosaur Holy struggled with Norton Shavers Lyle Quarry Bonavena Young Holyfield? is it Bowe, a spent Tyson? Moorer who he lost to who was ko'ed by a 46 year old man? oh maybe his best win was over a 42 year old Holmes maybe it was Mercer, no wait Mercer lost to a 45 year old Holmes. I guess his best win was Bowe, who threw his belt in the trash rather that fight Lennox Lewis.
He barely beat old Holmes and Foreman! and was wobbling on the mat against Bert Cooper. Holyfield was a great fighter, steroid aided, that is not in the same league as Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Holmes, Lewis , Liston , Louis
