Dont take it so personal As an armchair observer you might see things differently Im merely telling you what you perceive isn't how the UK sees the situation Wise guy? Are you Ray Liotta?
Someone in the comments section for the BBC's article about the fight said it was the best bout he'd seen since Joshua vs Klitschko. I suspect that was the last fight he'd watched too. Khan's always had profile with sport casuals. But hell, what do we know? Despite being British. And understanding its culture. And its geography. And its county rivalries. And being boxing fans...
See the press conference on Thursday a few days ago and it was not the first time he had suggested Brook was gay.
I don't take anything on here personally. I just disagree with some of your claims. And living there would give you a better view on the situation there, sure, I get that, but it could also blind you to seeing it from a bird's eye view, vs who can see the forest from the trees. And if you wanna play that game, then I could "pull rank" on you by saying you're not in a position to comment on anything in boxing that occurs in America. Because I'm here and you're across the pond. By and large, our views about boxing are less about whether we live in the UK or the USA but have more to do with our own interpretation of what we are seeing.
And id fully agree i might not see the full picture YouTube it Amir Khan says Kell Brook is gay My phone won't copy the link for some reason
Are you referring to when Brook said he slept in the same room as Khan back in the day? Kell took it one step further by bringing up the webcam incident.
And like I said, I'm not dismissing what you said about asians taking a liking to Khan, I said there may be some truth to that, but that it's only part of the equation.
There are, and always have been, a lot of (South) Asians at Khan fights in the UK. Thought that was common knowledge, not a matter for debate. When Khan tried to one-up Kell by having his Julio Diaz bout at the Sheffield Arena (Brook's turf, where he packs the house), ticket sales were a flop and the vast majority of those who did show were (South) Asian. Khan is a celebrity here — i.e. people still recall him from his early post-Olympics profile, and his misadventures outside the ring in the years since have earned him some infamy — but he's not very liked/popular outside of his (South) Asian following. I caught the fight in a bar in Fitzrovia, and, in a crowd that was primarily an even split between white and black, only one or two people were supporting Amir.
khan still trying to troll he knows kell had three kids before him im mean if so allegedly brook likes blokes on the other hand khan likes wanking off to trannies and was promoted by a tranny
The only embarassment is you making this thread. But, you're too blind and thick upstairs to see that.
Khan lost but he can walk away with his head held high. He didn't really do much trash talk except say that Brook is damaged goods, psychologically and physically, and we all know he is. The way it ended was the best outcome for all parties to carry on with their lives, Brook was so emotionally invested that if he lost it would have affected him badly. Khan made his money, Brook got his win (and loads of money), and the fans got some decent entertainment and full blooded action.
The Asian following plays a part in Khan's popularity, as does the olympics and the publicity around him after. But also, Brook has never really had a big fanbase over here either
