In recent years the police have been a running joke over here - little gobby kids think nothing at sticking two fingers up at coppers and throwing **** at them because the worst they’ll get is a ride home in the back of a cop car. Adults have a similar attitude, cops have **** all power and if a police office sticks up for themselves there’s always a nobhead videoing it and the video goes viral on twitter with the copper getting in trouble for fighting back. In the states you throw something at a copper and you’re getting a smack with a baton, tackled to the ground and a gun in the back of your head follow by a few nights in the nick.
