Brook was always the better fighter, you dont hang with a prime spence and crawford And beat porter if your average. Ggg ruined his chances of beating spence. Brook was a damn good fighter man.

They’re both shot to ****. Brook is just the better fighter and would’ve beaten Khan at any point.

Brook is enjoying his poppadoms and chutney today.

Khan is enjoying the chocolate brownies.

The one thing he did really well on Saturday night — that is, by comparison with a whole bunch of examples from his past — was absorb punches. That's partly attributable to strong will, his pride was pulling him back together every time his legs went, but he had the conditioning to support it. I was impressed that he was able to eat hard shots from Brook for six rounds without ever legitimately going down, which amounts to his best display of punch resistance since the Maidana fight (Roach/Ariza era).

Brook was too big and Khan has a history of getting caught flush with big shots.

Maidana had Khan on ***** Street but did not finish him off because he was weakened having to make 140 pounds. The damn truth is Brook was always better than Khan as is Danny Garcia. Skills, fundamentals and timing beats speed.

I always had a big problem with the idea that Khan would get off and land at will on Brook when this fight was talked about years ago — back then, even those who didn't pick Amir to win the fight seemed to believe that it would be the case for some rounds at least, taking Khan's customary fast start for granted. Brook always had the skillset to largely negate (slip, block) those trademark raids and disrupt them with his jab. It was never a guarantee that Khan would find success in the early rounds, Kell's boxing was always that much more sophisticated than his.

I genuinely think you can't read too much into that Crawford fight in terms of Brook's durability.

Now, Crawford was always going to win the fight....... but the fact that Brook was a balloon that didn't have the correct time needed to prepare for a fighter like Crawford didn't help and what ESPECIALLY didn't help was him doing the nutrition himself and not being with Dom Ingle. Instead he was cutting down to 147 (which kills him) without Greg Marriot and he was working with an unproven trainer.

    Hardly ideal.

He should go out on a high and call it a day now.

Khan got what he deserved in my opinion. Agreeing to the fight at 149 pounds was silly as he should have insisted on 147 pounds to give himself a chance of winning. Brook does not look totally shot and I would fancy him to beat Conor Benn at 154 pounds but I think CEJ at middleweight will be to much for Brook as in to much man too much animal though Brook is the fundamentally better fight. CEJ will finish of what Lil G started. I hope you now recognise Khan had no chance against Mayweather. Khan’s Achilles heel has always been his lack of ring IQ and not the greatest chin which spells trouble against someone with great timing, skills and sharpshooting ability of Floyd.

The Maidana fight is my favorite from Khan.
Don’t get me wrong as I was pulling for Maidana but man Khan was elite that night and I still score the damn fight a DRAW:ibutt
