Why do some people say Foreman had a poor chin because he went down against Ali?

Bad chin? He had a great chin when young and an epic level chin when old.

Yeah I'm confused. Who makes excuses for that?

Ali and Louis were droppable. They'd get up and recover, but they were droppable. Same goes for Wlad, Holmes, Fury, etc.

One thing some fans can't seem to grasp is
a perfect punch by a smaller man can cause a knock down
to a much bigger man. The problem arises for them is
when the punches are landing on them consistently from the
larger man, or in the clinches where they are usually overpowered.
Two recent example of this is Haye and Wilder, most of their
opponents were much bigger and heavier.
Some weighted more than 40 pounds than those two, yet they
routinely ko'ed them. (So to think these "Superheavyweights of
    today
couldn't be hurt by smaller yet better skilled men from the past
    is silly)
Also, sometimes circumstances contribute to a knock down.
Banks and Cooper had excellent left hooks, plus , in each
    occasion they caught Ali clowning.
Much better punchers didn't hurt Ali because he took them
seriously. He wasn't trying to carry them to a predicted rd
he was going to stop them.
Both Moore and Marciano were about 190 pounds.
Where you're getting 160 from is dead wrong.
Walcott was actually about 10 pounds heavier
    than Marciano.
Also as long as I've been on this site I never read
any post that questioned Foreman's chin and ability
    to take a shot.
Even in his prime. Some question his endurance
but, that issue is also overstated at times.

    They don’t do they?

Ask them to take a right hand from a 220lb heavyweight world champ while completely exhausted, right on the chops. See if they stay put….

Lol um Archie Moore weighed in the 160's when he was 29 years old. It is like saying James Toney is a 260 pounder and bigger than Lennox Lewis because Toney gained weight later in his career.

Also little kid if a 5'10 180 pound fighter like Marciano sized fighter could beat modern sized heavyweights then why hasn't this happened in the last 60 years? Also what does this have to do with some posters saying Foreman has a poor chin?

Yet they do. I just seen a poster today state in the Foreman vs Vitali fantasy bout that Foreman couldn't take a punch because Ali knocked him down.

Of course he does. That wasn't the point I am making. Tons of posters have stated Foreman couldn't take a punch. One person in the Joshua vs Foreman thread stated Joshua would beat Foreman because George couldn't take a punch because light punching Ali knocked him down

When I used to spar I would find myself on one knee and wondered what happened. My point is you can be off balance, get hit, fall down, and not necessarily be hurt. Sometimes the line between a slip and a knockdown is a thin one

"Little Kid " comment demonstrates your arrogance , any one that
calls themselves doopapoopy, shows a lot of childishness sub consciously.
So maybe your "Little Kid" comment is a deep down comment about who you are.
A little kid who gets angry when facts are pointed out, instead of doing the
right thing of acknowledging a truth, you move the goal post, Now your
story is when he was 29 yrs old he was 160.
What does that have to do with your comment of he was 160
    when he fought Marciano?
Marciano's big issue against fighters of today would not only
be his size, but the way he fought., he was a attrition style
    fighter.
But that's not to say he couldn't hurt or drop a much bigger
    opponent.
I responded to the rest of your comments prior to your
what you wrote about Foreman.(Which I agree with) So that's what I wrote
about, your entire post. If you only wrote about Foreman's chin without
the other comments, I would've stayed with in those confines.
You brought the other fighters up. I didn't .

    Hi Flash.
Not sure if you are aware, the " Little Kid " remark was in his post to myself, I tried to breakdown and explain why his observations were not entirely accurate regarding Moore and Lowry, and exlpained why his words and comments are juvenile and corassive , and he might consider more carefully what he is about to write, but all to no avail judging by his recent posts.
I would have hoped what you and I are trying to impart to him, might have left an impression, but sadly not, if he carries on in this vein, he will become a unpopular member of this forum, sadly. stay safe guys.
