    Spot on Bro.
I hope this does not inflate the confidence of Special K to think he is the fighter he was 8-9 years ago.
When he staggered Khan in the first round with a stiff jab I knew the ending was in sight for the Dancing Machine Khan.

Khan was never elite on any night. Still, a good world level fighter whose particular abilities could see him past a lot of his fellow B level peers, and the victory over pre-Oxnard Chino was (all things considered) his finest performance.

That is still one of the best fights to watch when the sport is having an off month.

Remind me why Khan always avoided fighting brook?

When Virgil Hunter was training khan he told Johnny Nelson that he won't put khan in a fight against Brook.

It's a good point. I thought he was on his way out a couple of times but he recovered well. The fact that post defeat Khan was still praising the camp and what had been asked of him suggests he'd gone places he'd never been before. Unfortunately there's only so much that preparation can do when age is catching up with you. There was still hand speed there but I never got the impression there was anything serious behind those punches, certainly Brook didn't seem fazed by them.

Possibly, he didn't go to that as an excuse, but he did seem jaded in the ring. Having said that, we've seen evidence both guys were well past it in their previous fights. I was impressed by Brook's performance but it's all relative to the opponent.

Amir khan reacted no differently in the brook fight when tagged as he did when he was prime, cover up and run for his life, never been any different In that regard, prime or not, soooooo........

Khan had his moments, as he always would have, but Kell took them away from him, as he always would have, being the fundamentally better, smarter, more rounded and more discerning boxer.

They are both beyond shot. It's just that Khan got caught early, and it was good bye from there. Very gutsy of him to keep trying for 6 rounds, but this fight was pretty much over from round one.

On the contrary, this was Khan's best opportunity as Kell had declined quite a bit as well. In fact, Brook was just as equally declined (really more). There simply was no point in which Khan was going to beat him. Too big, too strong, too solid. I had said that I thought this was now 50/50 only because I believed that Kell had declined so much whereas prime/prime I gave him an 80/20 chance to beat Khan. Despite him running over Khan, I'm still of the opinion that Kell has declined more, he's just superior to Khan.
