What do you think ? You never know. I mean Wilder took the rematch after Furys one sided beating in the 2nd fight. And Khan loves the money Maybe Khan could force Kell down to 145-147. Or make him tie one hand behind his back or something
I think not it was pretty much one sided and decisive. I hear you re the Wilder clause but Wilder was delusional all the cheating allegations, the suit being to heavy and draining him etc whereas Khan can only say he was soundly beaten by the timing and skill of Brook, that's not going to go away in a rematch.
No way does Khan activate the rematch. Not only was he way away from being close to his best for that fight. But also, as we have all commented for years now. Brook has the style to be a nightmare for him. The 2010-2011 Khan would have been the best version to give Brook a real test. Even then only the Maidana and Kotelnik versions for me would have beaten Brook. Every other performance loses.
Wilder took it because I believe his advisor advised him to do so - Haymon forced him. It's Wilder only and best chance to ever become champion again and last roll of the dice (has even lesser of chance at the time against AJ or Usyk). Khan isn't controlled by a puppet master, was gracious in defeat and admitted his love for boxing isn't there anymore. Khan will retire.
Lol, I thought you were going to say something completely objective until I read the part in (brackets) - consistent as ever Mitchy!
Khan didn't have the power or strength to do anything to Kell. He was very good in the first half of the first round and landed some nice combinations Kell didn't move. At one point Kell ducked into a huge left from Khan - it was a great shot and Kell barely blinked. Khan's punch resistance has always been poor now it's non existent. A brilliant career, a bit of a roller coaster but he was an entertaining fighter and world champ. Unless he wanted one final swan song against a feather fist just to have 1 last bout he should retire. Nothing left to prove or probably more importantly give.
