Eddie Hearn and Demetrius Andrade were never planning to fight Jaime Munguia, it's all smoke and mirrors.
Ever since Munguia moved up to Middleweight, Andrade saw Munguia running through the division so he started talking about moving up to Super Middle Weight because he knew the day would come when Munguia would become his mandatory. And since that day came Hearn and Andrade executed their plan to get out of the Munguia fight.
Golden Boy Promotions rejected the fight because Eddie Hearn purposely lowballed GBP on the contract and Hearn was unwilling to negotiate. Eddie Hearn knew GBP would reject the lowball contract so now it looks like Munguia is ducking Andrade but in reality, Andrade is ducking Munguia.
Andrade has been planning to move up to SMW to fight Zach Parker the whole time but wanted to leave the division undefeated and also get out of the Mandatory for Munguia. Andrade was never planning to fight Janibek either that's why he didn't sign that contract also and the WBO just ordered Munguia to fight Janibek for the Interim Title.
Munguia's team has stated they are willing to fight Andrade, Charlo, GGG, and Sergy Derevyanchenko.
Oscar de la Hoya made a public statement also saying they want to fight Boo Boo Andrade.
Munguia said before he fought Ballard -
"I’m definitely aiming for a world title fight later this year, hopefully in the summer. Early May is my goal,"

It looks like Hearn and Andrade fooled everyone

Not really possible to low ball and duck at the same time.

If Munguia wants the fight he'll take the offer.

Your exactly right that's why Munguia is the one getting lowballed at 70/30 and Andrade is doing the ducking by being unwilling to negotiate.

Exactly. Munguia can accept the fight any time wants. Talk of him being ducked by Andrade is absolutely insane.

In the time it took me to write this post Munguia could have accepted the fight.

Not for a lowball contract, he's not accepting especially when Munguia is a bigger draw bringing the whole country of Mexico with him.

Munguia's still taking baby steps lol When are you expecting him to face a high risk opponent?
We'll see if Munguia fights Janibek, and if Andrade fights Parker.

I don't see Munguia fighting Janibek for an Interim title when he made it clear he wants to fight for a title. I think Munguia will either fight Ryōta Murata for the WBA title or Jermall Charlo for the WBC title. It's too bad Andrade is ducking him

“Ducked Munguia by offering to fight him”

Let’s see if Janibek will duck him too, by trying to make the fight with him.

I know it's crazy but that's what it is. Hearn offered such a lowball contract to ensure GBP would decline therefore it looks like Mungia is ducking but it's the other way around.

And what about the counter offer from GBP? Oh wait, there was never a counter offer, GBP and Munguia chose to pretend like Andrade didn’t exist instead.

You can lie and make **** up about it all you want, but the fact that Munguia ducked Andrade remains.

It was Eddie Hearn and Andrade that was not willing to negotiate. That's why he skipped out on Janibek also. Andrade was planning to move up the whole time. Andrade knows he would lose that 0 if he fought Munguia.

Andrade has been tight at the weight for a while now and moving up was expected.

I'm disappointed in Andrade's maneuvers here.

This whole Parker thing is just too convenient and feels like him pursuing yet another mediocre fight. Munguia is a quality opponent, I would respect fighting Janibek, obviously Canelo is the payday everyone wants, but this kind of stuff is exactly why it's so easy to avoid Andrade.
