    I disagree with the KO percentage being a bad indicator. I think it is a decent one, maybe not to know the winner, but it is good in order to have an overall picture about how the fight will go more or less.

    Obviously not "the indicator", but I think it is something to take into account. No way 18% KO monroe jr can earn GG's respect, for example. You can easily see that by only reading the KO %.

    Promoters still like to hype up undefeated fighters.

    Undefeated even after 20-30 fights means nada these days.

    Loads of recent examples such as the legendary Mr Lovejoy and some Canadian bloke Hughie Fury fought not that long ago. Both laughably terrible

    Agreed, what was once an indicator of excellence (when boxers were regulalry running into legit competition) has becomes a cheap lazy promotional tactic.
