As someone hyper critical of Khan, most fighters talk big. Are they supposed to go in thinking they're gonna lose? As for embarrassment, he was thrashed around the ring for the entire fight but took his lumps and didn't look for a way out. No embarrassment in that.
This was a last big pay day for Khan and Brook in fact .. Khan been shot for years now .. he should of retired after the Crawford loss his legs, stamina, work rate , handspeed, reflexes all off or gone now ... He not fought for nearly 3 years.. he just talked a big to sell PPV buys .. In his prime 8 years ago it was a complete different Khan .. he would of schooled Brook back then .. when he had his legs and work rate fitness..
Even funnier, because rumor is he knew Kell had a hiding for his boy and did his bit to avert the fight for years.
I don't understand where this Khan just has the South Asian UK community supporting him. Just go look at the crowd when he fights in the UK. Look at the crowd on Saturday who the majority were khan supporters. The people who went and bought tickets to watch khan fights were not South Asian. Khan crossed over to the general UK public. That's a fact that cannot be denied. I was never his biggest fan but I can appreciate what he achieved.

The pre-fight stuff and glovegate was a bit embarassing but in the ring he showed plenty of heart as he has done on many occasions. He'd lost to Father Time long before Brook beat him. I agree with your latter point though and I think he knows it too.
North of his ideal weight and past his prime.. with all his weaknesses, people expected Khan to perform? He cashed out, that's why he took the fight. This bout could've happened earlier if he really wanted to.
To be fair most fighters have heart so that does not make him special. Brook was always the better rounded fighter. Khan possessed astonishing speed of hand and feet but always had 2 fatal flaws that being a low ring IQ and suspect chin. That makes him ready made to order for those with sound fundamentals and great timing like Danny Garcia and Kell Brook. Believe it or not some idiot trolls and some mods on here actually thought Khan could give Mayweather a tough fight when in reality it would be a guaranteed knockout win for Floyd.
Khan never needed the money so it makes me wonder why he suddenly was open to making the fight.. from what we have heard it was Khan who opened negotiations and approached kell's dad to make the fight. Kell losing to Crawford gave khan false sense of security. He mistakenly thought brooks body would let him down. Secondly maybe he thought Kell and Ingle's relationship was over and brook would struggle with new trainer. Thirdly maybe khan really did not want to retire and have the tag of 'ducked Kell Brook' always in the background. By him opening negotiations and even if the deal on the table was bad for Kell leaving him at a disadvantage, if Kell turned it down the headlines would make Kell look like the fighter who didn't want the fight. The details of the deal would have never been reported. Once Kell agreed, khan couldn't then renegade. It's interesting to see that Dominic Ingle, kell's dad and Kell have not disclosed what Kell had to give up to make the fight. Makes me wonder if they had to sign an NDA.
I was a massive supporter of Fury back then actually so I recall it. He was my favourite heavyweight at the time. I've met him a few times too and fought on the same card as him once. He brought his problems on himself and cried victim and his fans (including me for a bit, lapped it up). He may have opinions, but if you're going to shout them out, be ready for a possible reaction. Instead he got high and cocaine and alcohol and got stuck in a rut. But he did test positive for Peds, which is kept quiet nowadays. The media love him now. He has done amazing to swing it round but he still acts a fool and they accept it. I would say the knives have been put to use to support Fury now. But it's fine, we can disagree. I just think he's a drama queen and attention seeker.

@ruffryders I just don't think greaseballs like Piers Morgan kissing his ass amounts to the media loving him or having ensconsed him in its ranks of darlings (I don't think Fury believes that, either), and it has always struck me that his beef is much more with the nation's political bent than it has ever been with the man on the street. If Fury had been responsible for a Twitter DM equivalent to the one Eddie Chambers received from Anthony Joshua's account, you know what would have happened. Now there's a guy who can do no wrong in the eyes of the British press. Absolutely.
