For a few reasons I hope this is Josh Taylor’s last fight at 140. He looked very drawn and thin in the face at the weigh-in today, I would hate him to lose to somebody he’s better than because of weight struggles.

He’s also done everything there is to do at the weight now and there’s some huge fights and huge tests for him at 147. Tbh I think he could even go to 154 and become a 3-weight champ. He’s got the size and ability.

He always looks like that at weigh in, he should be fine to have a couple more defenses. I don't think that he will do well at 147, he gets caught too easily.

i dont think he's ever looked that bad in the past to be honest.

And lets not forget he's 31, so no spring chicken in the weight making game

This will be his last fight at this weight don't worry about that, Catterall is going to smash him up.

Put a lot of weight on after the Ramirez fight so I hope the weight cut hasn’t killed him. Let’s not forget this fight got postponed because Taylor had a knee injury too so I wonder how his knee is. Will he play up to the crowd / emotion get the better of him?

Really hope he wins but I’m worried.

Is cutting it a bit fine but we'll see how he does tomorrow. I think he's going knock out Catterall early

I remember him looking brutal at the Ohara weigh in, back in 2017. His days at this weight are probably numbered, hopefully moves up after this.

It'll be his last fight anyway, he's achieved everything at this weight. He's only fighting Catterall due to him stepping aside.

Can't help but think this has some of tbe hallmarks of a massive upset. Taylor looked very gaunt and obviously been a massive weight cut. Catterall is unproven but unexposed and has some tools to cause damage. I've seen 1/10 favs where I can't see a way the jolly can lose, this isn't one of them. The narrative that Taylor gets rid of him early is bizarre to me a well given Taylor isn't a concussive puncher and Catterall has never been in trouble to my knowledge

He does look a bit ill on the scales but the main thing is, he’s won absolutely everything. No point staying there.

Catterall looks calm and to have no fear. Fear that Taylor might force it a little because it’s the first time he’s fought in Scotland in 3 years. He did look very drained on the scales. He even admitted himself he put on loads of weight after the Ramirez fight and that coupled with a knee injury doesn’t look good.

Natasha Jonas lost a fight where her odds were 1/100 odds on and she even got stopped.

I've got a feeling that although Josh should batter him, this won't be so easy. The weight is a big thing.

My thoughts too. Davison liking his fighters to box at range (will suit Catterall) combined with the weight cut will make it much closer than it should be.

Don’t think there are anymore fights that make sense for him at 140 anyway, if he wins tomorrow he’s cleaned up the division, defended his belts and done the right thing by Catterall. Logically he’ll move up to 147 regardless of weight struggles, think he’d look to take one fight vs. a top 10 guy then onto Crawford or Spence if he wins.
