PPV is dead Koogz. Seen on Twitter they’re charging $60 for DAZN customers and $80 for non-subscribers. Can’t wait to see Hearn spin this.
The fight isn't even announced yet. Might just be worth waiting to see i) if it happens (Coppinger's record is, well, patchy) and ii) if prices invented by some numpty on Twitter are accurate or not. Either way, if it happens I expect Hearn's argument to be simple - DAZN have run at a loss, they've had a recapitalisation from the owner and are trying a new model.
We think our £7.99 a month is poor value. Imagine as Yank you have paid $19.99 a month for February - Franco vs Cuadras March - Gonzalez vs Martinez April - Serrano vs Taylor $80.00 for 4 months, then you are expected to stump up another $60 for Canello
So not only do Americans have to pay 20 quid a month for one American show a month and crap UK cards they now have to fork out $60 for Canelo vs Bivol. No wonder the American takeover has gone to pop.
Good fights, but no one in the U.K will be be paying the PPV money. Be interesting to see how Eddie/DAZN spin this one.
