Seen it. Really isn’t close. He took a few shots off Williams. Bowe vs Golota 1-2 Riddick absorbed about as much punishment as Liston did in his toughest fights combined.

Lol at Golota being anywhere remotely comparable to Cleveland Williams as a puncher.

We literally have no way of knowing. An educated guess would suggest Williams but we don't actually know, then again who did Williams KO?

Let's see. Williams was known as a puncher, was the only fighter to hold his own against Liston and give better than he got if only for a brief period in time. Liston himself conceded he thought Williams was going to knock him out. He brutally knocked out Sonny Banks (who knocked down Ali), which many speculated led to his death in his very next bout, caused irreparable brain damage to Curly Lee who went on to murder his entire family, he also was the only person to knock out Young Jack Johnson, rupturing a blood vessel in his forehead. Source: https://www.newspapers.com/clip/57246919/simpsons-leader-times/

He also knocked out many decent opponents and rated contenders and a future champion (far better than anyone Golota managed to KO), and according to all common opponents and sparring partners hit harder than Liston himself.

Roy Harris (who fought Sonny Liston and sparred with Cleveland Williams), calls Cleveland Williams his most dangerous and toughest opponent was "when I sparred with Cleveland Williams." http://www.doghouseboxing.com/Ken/Hissner030911.htm

"But at one point in his career, he would have spelled real problems for Ali, because at his height as a puncher, Cleveland Williams hit harder than Liston. Before he got shot, the man was awesome But afterwards, he wasn't much of a fighter.. Ernie Terrell (Who fought Williams twice and sparred with Liston)
    His toughest opponent: Cleveland Williams

"I fought Williams (Cassius Clay's Monday night victim Cleveland Williams twice and I thought that man hit harder than even Liston. But the years were very much on Clay's side." Source: https://www.newspapers.com/clip/57503132/calgary-herald/

Sonny Liston:......"Williams hit very hard and he was quick"
"He hit as hard as I could."

"two of William's losses came at the hands of Liston, who has said Williams was the hardest puncher he has ever met." https://www.newspapers.com/clip/51090697/sioux-city-journal/

"Williams hit Liston with a left hook that would have finished any other man It would have torn some fighters heads off." https://www.newspapers.com/clip/54152307/fort-lauderdale-news

He was also #49 on The Ring's top 100 P4P punchers which Golota, nor anyone Bowe faced (Except Holyfield at #77) never sniffed.

Golota on the other hand..... gave Bowe trouble and... that's literally it.

Bit of a circular theory isn't it "Bowe's chin wasn't that bad despite getting dropped by Golota who proved he was an amazing puncher by dropping Bowe" Oh wait...

David Tua was a better puncher than Cleveland Williams

I know. You make one point in a single sentence and he responds with a Tolkien novel.

So because LISTON said that Williams was the hardest hitter he ever faced, then that must legitimize Williams as a puncher hence making LISTON’S chin solid…. Circular logic at its absolute finest
