Feel bad for Eric Donovan there.

Really nice guy, a superb amateur, anyone that's seen him box in the stadium here in Dublin will testify to that, some of his aiba final wins where absolute epics. He's a top top guy as well.

But like alot of top amateurs, they give their best years to the amateur game. Maybe the money they get as high performance athletes in the Irish squad keeps them in the unpaid ranks a touch too long. Because unfortunately our top amateurs aren't really transferring well into the pro ranks.

 

I knew I was nuts to back against Ramirez, but you never know with the Cubans in the Pros, but levels above Donovan for sure.
