Absolutely mate. I had my doubts after the Old Firm battering but he’s clearly tactically very astute. Win or lose this season we have to back him long run.

 

Catterall takes first round but it was a stinker

 

Round 1: Catterall 10-9

Very cagey start, Catterall landing a left hand in the opening 30 seconds which caught Taylor off balance.

 

Round 1: 10-9 Catterall (clear)

 

Nice round from Catterall.

 

Taylor still looks terrible at that weight, i expected him to fill out alot more. Although he's taller and naturally wider than Catterall, he looks horrible at the weight. really really skinny

 

My concern with him, is that because he isn't the most defensively sound, in addition to living the life after his undisputed fight, could be a terrible mix for him.

It's clear he can't stay at the weight before for too long, so the fact he piled on the pounds after and then with a knee injury isn't exactly confidence inspiring when he then has to make weight once again.

 

The 2nd round even for me so Catterall still 1 up - a stonker so far

Taylor had a much better round. Catterall looks uncomfortable when the two fighters get close. He also lifted Taylor up and got a warning from the referee. Both fighters clearly don’t like each other.

Catterall did start the round off nicely though.

Cateral had some nice jabs early on to head and body, but Taylor back into it - although he missed wildly with some hooks.
