Catterall won, but while he can blame a lot of people he can blame himself first and foremost for coasting those last four rounds. You don't give the hometown guy that kind of breathing room.
I had Catterall too, but very close. People whine about how this was some "robbery," but like most such fights, it was a close fight, with many close rounds that could have been scored either way. There are very few real "Robberies" in boxing, and the term is thrown around WAY too casually by modern boxing fans.
Exactly partying without a fight date scheduled until 8 months later.. Canelo has his dates lined up so he never gets far out of shape.. in 3 years Taylor had only fought 3 times..
I scored that rnd 9-9. I had Catteral winning 113-112, but that only means one of my earlier rounds going to Taylor meant scores reversed and I score heavily in favour of JC in the first half.
I agree with Froch, Catterall was just constantly backing up, grabbing and not throwing back the last few rounds. He threw that fight away.
Well called, friend. Kambosos-López parallel was very astute. This is true. He needed to set out to put a stamp on the championship rounds particularly. Instead, he played it safe and paid.
Correct. What Usyk did down the stretch and in the 12th round against AJ, that's how you take the belts from the champ in his hometown, not by coasting.
