    100%, Catterall really impressed me in the buildup, quiet confidence, never let JT phase him at all. And was equally imprssed with his showing in the ring - only 2 things let him down; he should have pushed harder after the KD because Taylor was hurt, and if is flatness was anything to do with the weight cut, Catterall should have went in for the kill IMO. Also in the last few rounds he was a wee bit too economical, although tbf that's what Jamie Moore was telling him, to keep moving and potshotting because "you got this".

    But I'm definitely going to tune in to his next fight, I hope to see him get the belts once Taylor vacates

    Great fighter but I vote that josh do a live stream of him watching the fight back as he clearly lost that :lol:

    I thought two things. 1. That he looked very tense and nervous and 2. That he looked pale and sickly

    His performance suffering due to him being tense is something I picked up on in the Postol fight and all my observations were repeated almost ad verbatim by both him and McGuigan during an interview later on that night

    Could be I really rate McGuigan and he would be one of, if not the, first choices as head trainer for any fighter I'm a fan of who was looking for a new one

    Says the Catterall fanboy, whos' pretending he didn't have a massive bias heading into this fight. How about you go and rewatch it, this time with a clear head, and you'll see... I wasn't far off. I have no problem with someone scoring it 113-112 for Catterall, but anything wider, is deranged.

    Paddy Power have announced that they're refunding bets on Jack Catterall to win and have described the split decision for Josh Taylor as an "absolute robbery".

    :lol: Same here. There has been many times I've typed something out but then thought better of it at the last minute only for it to then come to pass shortly after, like with 90% accuracy rate. I listen to my brain too much but my gut is a much better friend lol

    Maybe he is past his best. He has been matched tough in his career so he may now be on the downwards slide. I am sure some people look up to you but then again thats on them.

    How could you give Taylor 7 rounds. He hardly landed anything the whole fight. Catterall constantly slipped Taylor’s jab and landed some great body shots in the first half of the fight.

    You are a great analyst but a **** scorer. The last two scorecards I’ve seen you do (Taylor Catterall, Ryder Jacobs), have been diabolical.

    Just score the fight fairly and put your ego aside.
