Had Catterall winning by about 2 rounds.

Terrible fight though and awful performance by the referee.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a referee warn fighters as much as that before deducting points.

Caterall hugged and spoiled every opportunity he got in the last 6 rounds and Taylor looked dirty as **** even before he got a point deducted.

Just spoke to my dad who says Catterall’s performance reminded him of Galahad v Warrington which is pretty fair.

Catterall spoilt and held at every chance and was far too negative the last 4 rounds.

I don't like Catterall but he won this fight by at least 5 rounds

Caterall landed far more clean shots than Galahad did and also got a knockdown.

I’ll have to watch it back tomorrow mate. Always struggle to score fights when I’m there live.

Aye, I thought he edged it but I could see how the judges would have scored many (particularly, the later) rounds for Taylor. Catterall had it and he let it slip by coasting through the final four rounds. Boxers and judged for effective aggression and ring generalship: fighting on the back foot and throwing very little isn't going to catch the eyes of the judges.

I’m with you mate. Judges prefer aggression, especially over here. Spoiling and holding on away soil again a champion doesn’t win you fights.

b*llocks. Taylor couldn't do anything with him. Near perfect performance by Catterall.

The crowd can sometimes steer people the wrong way along with alcohol but you will see that Catterall was a clear winner of this fight - not even close mate.

Not a fan of him at all but he was absolutely robbed and Taylor was an absolute plum post fight when claiming he thought he won.

Will open a can of worms here but watched the fight back on my iPad. Catterall 5-3 after 8 with a knockdown then just retreated and Taylor won everything from then on. Works out 113-112 Taylor with points deductions. Is it a case of Catterall did better than expected so people look to give him rounds?

Throwing very little....and yet landed 47 more punches than taylor. It seems nothing will catch the eyes of the judges if the winners already been picked.

Surely if they prefer aggression they,d pick the kid that landed 47 more punches than the other guy. And knocked the other guy down to boot.
