Taylor got caught in the first 15 seconds by a flush left from JC and it completely set the tone of the fight. Josh decided that boxing with Jack was the riskier option as it gave Jack the chance at a big left hand counter. Josh decided to rush in and break his opponent down but it just didn't work. He was negated by holding and sharp counters. Taylor lost, but I think Jack's style is a perfect foil for his. I still think Taylor can mix it up well at 147. He needs to get rid of Ben Davison.
Catterall is very good and he easily won and got robbed but i refuse to believe Taylor is as bad as he looked tonight.
As a massive Taylor fan from Edinburgh, even I couldn't see it for Taylor 114-111 Catterall was my RBR score. I'm definitely going to watch it again, as I maybe wasn't as focussed on the scoring as I was on how out of sorts Taylor looked, but I felt it was clear, and I was surprised that Taylor looked confident he had won at the end
Joke decision, joke observers if there are any trying to defend it (luckily I don't think I've seen any so far). As for IJL.... The guy has always been an incompetent (or downright corrupt) slimester, but he's beyond parody now.
Bunch of nutcases. Taylor, by a round or two. Fine... maybe Jack nicked it by a point, I won't argue with that. But with all of the it was a schooling nonsense... **** off.
This robbery was so disgusting that Paddy Power are refunding all bets that had Catterall to win! When even the bookmakers recognise that it was a robbery, that shows you that anyone who had Taylor winning is either biased or blind. This content is protected
One of those fights that makes me wonder why I still bother watching this corrupt ass sport. Feel really sorry for Catterall, this should have been a huge upset.
Caterall. If not for the KD, you can kind of make a tiny robbery and give a draw to the homie. But with the KD there is no way to do so. I mean, what's sure is that taylor didnt win and, since a draw is not possible, then what's sure is that caterall won.
Sorry no, this was a robbery. The punch stats in this fight don't lie, Taylor landed 85 punches in 12 rounds compared to Jack's 165 and he threw around a 100 less ,was knocked down and had a point deducted late, all the clean sharper punches were landed by Catterall. It's flat out impossible to score this fight for Taylor. I thought I was being fairly objective and had it 115-111 Jack,
That's me home. I saw it live great atmosphere. I had Taylor winning, simply because Catterall didn't do enough in the last few rounds. Close fight. Wouldn't have complained if Jack got it, he boxed a very good game plan.
I stopped scoring after 9. Gave every rd to Catterall. Think the closest was rd 4. Taylor seriously got dominated.
Ring rust ain't got nothing to do with that fight. His last fight was in May of 21. Most fighters fight once a year, and if you are an elite fighter like people say then you should have no problem. Crawford and Spence's last two fights were close to a year apart and they still winning and looking good doing it. Josh is just not on that level.
