100%. There’s no point blaming individuals or promoters when the board have consistently allowed corruption to go on right under its nose. Nothing will change until there’s a complete overhaul. It would be just as effective organisation if Robert Smith from The Cure was in charge.

Absolute disgrace! Ian John Lewis should never have been allowed near a boxing ring after letting Shannon Briggs take 12 rds of terrible punishment from Vitali Klitschko,he is a disgrace!

I'm sure a sport we all follow and love shouldn't make you feel like this so often.

Boxing is like a **** relationship I should have ended years ago..
Not to mention the constant poor matchmaking, the non existent match making, corruption, corruption, corruption, no shame , they do it time after time in front of millions of eyes, nothing short of sickening, sick of it! Pfffttttt....

I made a comment earlier this week about how much of a tool he is. Everybody thinks he's down to earth for some reason.

Some people have shocking character judgement on here at times.

I can honestly only think that IJL got the two fighters mixed up.

    I'm feeling the same way.

When those three names were read out for the judges, none of whom should still be involved in Boxing in any form whatsover, I thought it odd. With so many belts at stake shouldn't there be enough money to fly in some neutral judges? Of course that would lessen the control over the outcome.

They must've thought that there was no way Catterall could make it so wide that no-one could justify it. He did and now there machinations are exposed. Of course nothing will happen and plenty will be prepared to overlook it come the next fight.

It was a sickening example of the corruption at the heart of this 'sport'.

No I think there's more to it than that. I think there's a chapter in the 'cookbook' about how to do this. For IJL's card last night see Adalaide Byrd's one in the Canelo GGG robbery a few years ago. Remember how bizarre that card was? Think about how much of the talk following the fight was about her way out card and thus how little about the other highly questionable ones?

Putting an outlier score out there like that moves the overton window so that others who are looking on think that the fight was closer than they thought and that the real problem is that one judge.

I wonder if they draw straws for who has to take the brunt of the criticism by playing the Adalaide role? Maybe that's the reason for the delay in assembling the cards at the end of a fight. A process that should take a few seconds but often seems to require several minutes....

Been saying this for ages and the Canelo GGG fight is a perfect example. The card that was a draw is literally a joke and looks like it was filled in before a punch was thrown when you see how he scored certain rounds.

If they wanted to completely eliminate corrupt decisions like this it would be so easy.

Just select 20 ex-boxers and experts to score the fight at the venue. They are there anyway for media work.

Then use the median average of those 20 fight cards, to be the final decision.

This would mean all the outlier cards on both sides wouldn’t even be included.

The 3 judges should sit on chairs wired up to the electrics, not enough to do them serious damage but provide a painful shock.

The second part of this idea is to allow the viewers to use an app to score each round live, if 60% of the viewers score the round differently than a judge, they get zapped. This process can continue for the whole 12 rounds, so if a judge is corrupt or incompetent they'll be in for a rough night as they'll get a shock for every round they score incorrectly.

It certainly looked that way. Even when Josh pressed, Catterall managed to nullify him by either countering or spoiling or very good movement. Catterall really impressed me.

Poor Jack. Wasn’t a particularly close fight. I scored it 114-111 but could have been even wider.
