It's just the way he seems to want to have as much attention / credit as the actual boxers. When Taylor beat Ramirez and he put up "boxercise Ben strikes again" on Twitter, completely dismissing the years of work JT had put in leading up to this moment and making it about himself.

He comes across as more of a brand / flavour of the month / guy to be seen associating with than a trainer.

For all his hard work, "Back fat Ben" is certainly piling the pounds on.

Some of the things he was saying. Absolute David Brent.

    He's totally clueless.

Davison's advice in corner was diabolical, whereas Jamie Moore's was outstanding. Davison was telling Josh to keep going forward, when all he was doing was falling in and getting hit. Instead of telling him to create a gap, use the jab and work openings. He seemed happy for JT to box with limited boxing IQ.

He had Tyson down to 17,8 st a couple of days before the fight. Fury said to him he felt as weak as s kitten at that weight.

Everything he was saying was for the cameras, he tries to appear as this boxing "visionary" by using different sayings to everyone else. Sadly it just comes off as embarrassing as it's clear he doesn't know what he's on about.

Taylor needs to find a different trainer as that last night was very worrying. Taylor has cleaned out the division and looked elite doing it but last night he was abysmal. You can't turn a turd into a diamond but you can turn a diamond into a turd if you surround it with enough ****.

Agree 100% . The Taylor that beat Prograis would have won last night. He was absolutely miles off it, seemed slow, weak, ponderous. Didn't throw anywhere near enough punches, and when he did, it looked feeble.
    Boxercise has to go.

Who can Taylor get? McGuigan was a great fight but obviously he’s not going back to him

Taylor's trainer Ben Davison said: "It was a close
fight. I told Josh he needed a stoppage in the last
round, not that I believed it.

You’re so full of Michael Knight, Ben. Fraud.

Him and Fury were shocked by that. It really surprised me that people at level in sport can't even keep track of what weight they're at given how important it is. Doesn't exactly fill you with confidence for his preparation of Taylor who looked weak last night.

That being said, Taylor let on he was quite heavy in a video where he was talking to Terence Crawford a few weeks back so it doesn't look like he's lived the life since Ramirez.

Weight might have been an issue but that never affected the lack of boxing IQ displayed by Taylor in the fight. Nor the advice from his corner. Both poor.
