Is he one what they tried to convict for shooting Warren? That decision was definitely disputed

Worth noting that Super Joe fought Reid in his country with a home ref (who came very close to DQ'ing Reid at one point for his persistent and egregious fouling) and one home judge, the other two coming from neutral countries. Super Joe was on hostile territory in that one and was actually spat at and verbally abused with anti-Welsh slurs by some of Reid's fans during his ring walk. It wasn't a case of a have gloves won't travel deck-stacking 'warrior' refusing to travel and enjoying a home ref to allow them to fight to their own set of rules and three home judges to fill out their cards in their favour.

Whether or not he had close fights is irrelevant. The brutal and, yes, irrefutable, truth about Calzaghe is that he is the King of Nothing. Sitting in the UK with a hardly recognized belt for a decade while generational talents mix it up in the states does not a legacy make.

His career is similar in some respects to Canelo in his parading of victories over has been legends.

This thread isn't about Ward but not leaving the UK and not leaving the US are two completely different things.

Do you really need to be explained why the vast majority of major fights happen in the US and not Wales?

so with your logic the 2 biggest HW fight at the moment (Usyk vs Joshua 2) and (Tyson Fury vs Dillan Whyte) should take place the USA ? instead of big Arenas in the UK ?

Love Joe, great fighter, but he had about 8 serious fights in his career and it's debatable if he bear Reid

I think he beat Hopkins, but he was made look very poor at times. His extreme cardio seen him through

Great talent for sure and the end of his career was top notch. Just a pity he didn't hit the states in his 20s and waited until his 30s before he really shone

I think a meaningless domestic fight like Whyte vs Fury should happen in the UK exactly where it belongs.

Joshua Usyk should not happen in the UK no. Joshua had his chance and got humiliated.
Considering Ukraine is not possible yes I believe the usa is the best place for this fight
