You'd tell your fighter to go for the kill in the final round, against someone who has countered his head off all fight, if you felt he didn't really need it? Sure Ben, mate, yeah.
I had exactly the same reaction. Weeks away from the fight and he's almost two stone over. I swear they were queuing for a restaurant too
After he left McGuigan he spent a week with Adam Booth and a week with Davison. Obviously chose Ben perhaps due to location and personal circumstances etc but maybe the doors open to work with Adam in the future?
Why trade one charlatan for another? He'd be better served moving to America if he's going to change trainer. He's already has a fairly American style regarding his inside work, so you'd imagine an American/Latino trainer might get the best out of him and his style.
Both down south aren’t they? Taylor fights on the inside, Booth’s fighters need good power and Davison has his fighters fighting on the back foot. I actually think Joe Gallagher would be a good fit for Taylor if he wants to stay in this country.
Didn't they say Taylor got bad covid? I caught the omicron as well. The intense illness is only for a week but there's a lingering lethargy plus lung issue which would mess up a pro athlete.
Oh did he? Plus he's a fairly vocal anti vaxxer isn't he. In that case, it serves him right, I've no sympathy for people refusing a scientifically proven vaccine because they decided some gobshite on facebook knew more than highly educated immunologists
That is a terrible shout lad. He’s the last trainer he wants to go to. ‘Don’t worry about head movement Taylor…’
Joe Gallagher ? Hahahah. Poor *******, what he done to deserve that. He'd be better off going to 'murica and getting a proper trainer. Boxercise is dangerous, as is creepy Booth.
I was struggling to think of anyone in this country at all tbh with McGuigan/Davison/Booth out the picture but Liam and Callum Smith were always decent fighting on the inside under Joe G. Best coaches are over the pond of course.
I wasn’t suggesting it was the right fit, only that he must be on the radar. I don’t personally think, the Booth ethos fits Taylor. Would like to see Tony Sims work with him but not being able to work in the USA would be an issue I’m guessing. It would be interesting to see if he’s hungry enough to relocate to the US for an American coach.
