Fury's legacy is going to be nothing if this is true, let's just say he beats Whyte and retires.

Old Wlad (was undefeated for 10 years, must be given credit)

    Whyte (Solid contender)

Wilder x2 (not much of a creditable name, no resume wins, not really skilled, one trick pony)

    Chisora x2 (????)

I guess top 20? No idea, barely reaches that for me. Fury is mostly credited for his "head to head" status.

Will he retire even if he loses to White?

Going into ''this is my final fight'' mode double quick because Dillian Whyte isn't holding up his end.

    More final fights than Guy.

Fury's legacy would be based on a combination of top wins as the underdog 3/4 times, B-side, away from home (with Wlad and Wilder 2 being two of the greatest HW performances ever, Wilder 3 being one of the greatest HW fights ever) and going undefeated in 33 fights despite facing the two hardest punching KO artist champions of all time on four occasions, once in particular in sub-optimal condition coming back from drugs, booze, junk food and 2.5 years of inactivity. The B level wins against the Wallin's, Cunningham's, Whyte's and Chisora's are far less important.

There would be an Usyk-sized hole in the record though as he is an undefeated, undisputed cruiser and unified heavyweight champion road warrior with a unique set of attributes. Provided Usyk doesn't retire/isn't KIA/isn't beaten by AJ, that fight needs to happen or there will always be a big question mark.

It’s a good time to check out. Won all the belts. All of his era rivals are out of the picture.

I realize this is a shocking statement to read....Tyson Fury is lying. I mean, he's been so truthful in the past.

I don't blame him if he retired. He's got all the money he would possibly want or need, and at some point
the motivation to fight fades into the background.

However, I've heard him say that he has no hobbies at all, and wouldn't know what to do with himself
    if he wasn't fighting.

Typical Ali move. Means nothing unless he does that and stays retired for more than a few months.

I think his body is done. A lot of injures. Drug addiction. Other stuff. Blew up to 350 pounds. I had a strange feeling after the third Wilder fight. Confirmed now. He also looked much older in that fight, don't think he had a great camp with injuries, Covid and other stuff.
