I like both guys and rate them both highly. I hope Joyce would win but it is a very close evenly matched he'd fight that could go either way.
So it probably won't happen then? Both should be trying to make it happen, as they're both in a bit of no mans land with the bigger fighters in the division tied up.
Sorry, although it may be competitive in the sense that it will require a sustained effort, the outcome is in no doubt. Joyce would win. Joyce is simply better than Paint Dry, although Paint Dry is at least better than Tickling Takam. That was one of the funniest bouts I have ever seen.
Joyce needs a big name on his record and Parker is a big name even though he hasn’t made it back to a title shot since selling his belt to AJ. I hope uncle Frank makes this happen. As I would like to see Joyce staying busy at a high level and getting his title shot soon.
Yes Joyce is just too busy and too aggressive for Parker. Parker likes time off during rounds and Joyce would overwhelm him at points in certain rounds. I could imagine Parker being very tired and his output dropping significantly in the later rounds.
I belive there can be valid case made for either of them to win. Joyce's lack of speed and poor defensive compared to Parker who is up there as being one of the guys fastest hands in the divison. Parker could be teeing off putting of 3 or 4 punch combos to Joyce's one due to the difference of speed in the two. I had Parker winning 8 rounds to 4 against a prime Takam. Whilst I had a past his prime Takam up in fight going into the 6th round where it was prematurely stopped in my opinion. Also Jennings also gave Joyce a very close tough fight in my opinion. So I believe Parker would be get the better of Joyce in the first half of fight. However a valid arguement can be made if Parker can keep the pace up over the course of 12 rounds against Joyce work rate, volume of punches, pressure and toughness. A case can be made for Joyce getting the better Parker in the later stages of the fight and evening stopping him (even though Parker himself has a decent chin). I hope Joyce wins if the two fight.
1) That's because Joyce didn't try to box Takam. He practically laughed him off. And "premature stoppage" demonstrates your agenda - it was an excellent stoppage. Takam was a sitting duck, ready to be bludgeoned. Why would you want a 40 year old man to take enormous blows to the head? 2) No. You don't.
I'd would root for Joyce against any HW at present (comes across as the most likeable and genuine guy in the divison). I just rate Parker more highly than you do and which is why I believe this is competitive fight that can go either way.
I thought Fa beat Parker - in fact, it's hard for me to see how anybody could score it to Parker. It was a stinker. Joyce would have to show a degree of competency because Parker is mobile and hard, but that doesn't mean that he would struggle. This is the myth of Usyk vs Chisora - because Usyk was made to work, they say he "struggled" to a win where he lost three rounds at the most.
Would love to see this fight but don't think it happens. To dangerous for both fighters with too little money/rewards
