Parker vs Joyce

You're right the Parker vs FA fight was an awful fight to watch, although I had Parker winning the fight. The only worse HW fight to watch in recent times was another Parker fight against Hughies - again not much action in but I had Parker winning that too.

I agree with assessment of the Usyk vs Chsiora fight I also had Chisora winning 3 rounds.

I don't believe a potential Parker vs Joyce will turn out like that for reasons I've stated in my previous post. Obviously there is a big difference in quality between Usyk and Chisora which I don't view with Pakrer vs Joyce.

 

I would favour Parker, if he comes in shape. I just think he takes enough of the early rounds to win on points.

 

Joyce wouldn’t be able to give rounds away like he did against Takam.

 

Both men need the fight as they’re facing an title shot abyss. For me, Joyce has a lot more dog in him and he’ll break Parker down similar to how he dismantled Dubois. Be shocked if Parker takes the fight, respect if he does.

 

Parker is 10000000x tougher than Dubois and Dubois was ahead on the cards before the stoppage

Can't see how Parker doesn't win this, he will get a lead and coast.

Hand speed is too much and he has much more 12 round experience.
Wasn't Joyce lagging at the end vs Jennings? From what I remember Joyce didn't look great in that fight and was hurt a few times.

Parker is not hard to hit and has fought plenty of big punchers in his career. Blokes who have much better 1 punch power than Joe Joyce.
Can't see Joyce stopping him at all, and Parker will land plenty on him too.

 

Parker doesn’t hit hard enough or is busy enough to win this. Usyk/fury beat Joyce and possibly wilder and AJ but otherwise Joyce beats everyone else in the division right now

 

Fa, who is rubbish compared to Joyce, beat Parker, in my opinion. Parker has looked terrible in many bouts - Cojanu, Fury, Takam etc.

 

Fa would lose to Joyce no doubt because he is lazy and a bit soft.

Fa actually has very good movement and hand speed, which matches up better with Parker who is similar.
Parker can be a bit lazy to, but obviously more volume than Fa.

Difference being Parker can take a punch without being intimidated and can crack himself.

Joyce will land plenty on Parker but it wont dent him, he will keep fighting hard and land his own when he needs to.
I just think Parkers speed will win most of the 1st half of the fight and when he is still standing at the end there will be only 1 winner.

 

I respect your views, you mostly talk sense but I feel like Joyce would lose…that said I’m a big Joyce fan and possibly just being a pessimist. Just think paint dry can box on the outside and keep Joe off…probably wrong though and hope I am.

I would back Joyce to win, he has all the attributes to beat Parker- bigger, stronger, better jab, better power puncher, better chin, superior stamina.

Parker has hand speed over him that's more or less it. Neither are particularly hard to hit but against Parker who is not close to being a big puncher from what we have seen I don't think that will be a huge issue as Parker IMO will struggle to hurt Joyce.

I think Joe Joyce is one of the most deceptive fighters at HW for sure, maybe even beyond just HW. He is brilliant at riding a shot and taking the sting out of it at just the right time, hard to see well on TV as the punch lands but with perhaps 20%-25% of the intended power.

That aside, he deserves a good pay day. The fight vs Dubois got cancelled and re-scheduled 2-3 times by the time it did go ahead it was obviously behind closed doors and not PPV so Joe lost most of his originally promised purse and had I think just 1 fight since so would be good to see him in a fight with a good profile.
