I think it was Foreman & Frazier (with Ali effectively bluffing) that had Ali out on his feet, not Liston-can you check that?

Before Stabler leaves that is. Then it starts going downhill. I like his new show Organized Crime a lot better tbh.

 You think I'm lying over something so pedantic? Why is it so unbelievable? Dejohn was one of three big punchers Liston fought, the other being Valdez.

4 months before decisioning Valdez, Miteff was brutally knocked out in in just over a minute by Dejohn.

Charlie Powell was knocked out by Dejohn in seconds, and 2 fights later stopped Valdez, flooring him three times.

You two should be the strongest of allies!

Here's George Chuvalo in a couple of different takes - The iron-jawed George Chuvalo was asked in an interview who hit him the hardest. Mike DeJohn, “a real good whacker” was at the top of the list, although DeJohn was spent by the time Chuvalo faced him.

After experiencing another knockout loss to Billy Daniels, who stopped him in ten rounds, he won three more fights before his final fight with the up and comer George Chuvalo of Canada on 27 September 1963: he was knocked down twice by the strong Canadian but put on a brave effort and in the end lost by a close majority decision. Chuvalo later said he was the hardest puncher he ever faced, along with George Foreman.

It's not hard to envisage Liston putting DeJohn well up there. DeJohn was certainly a puncher.

missing cleveland williams in that list to all the talking ive done but no one mentions how cleveland backs sonny up against them ropes and makes him curl up into a pvc ball but obviously dejohn could bang but i personally don’t believe he hit harder than cleveland no no, that is crazy how dejohn got kayoed by billy daniels thats crazy but dejohn could bang but could be banged to and he could fall down so his chin wasnt the best in words

That's where the problem is - you misread Swags post.

Swag - And that was a shot Dejohn in his last fight! Liston also thought very highly of Dejohn's power, and ranked him the hardest puncher he faced not named Cleveland Williams.

I believe Swag meant that Ali admitted to being out on his feet at various times v Frazier and Foreman. He then added separately that it can be SEEN that Liston also clearly hurt Ali.

I watched that fight so many times - I literally remember thusly - round 3, announcer Steve Ellis excitedly notes twice that Sonny wobbled - Liston clearly being hurt and driven back by a searing Ali combo - BUT later in the same round Ellis again correctly observes that Ali is hurt - “Hold the phone folks now Cassius may be a bit hurt” - after he was wobbled first, Liston really fought back hard, connecting with a number of consecutive shots - to Ali’s head and body.
Ali was def. hurt and had stopped his own punching during Liston’s offensive.

Really, an amazing round (3) in a fight that might be underrated due to how it ended but the action therein until the stoppage was incredible and it really was a great fight otherwise - an entertaining mesh of styles -
