It’s a big event that will capture the attention of the casual audience. Numbers will be massive here but only time will tell.

I'm surprised it sold out so quickly.

Maybe the "im retiring after this fight lol" worked. I thought it may sell out but only towards the start of the fight, not this quick.

EDIT - Have you seen how many have been bought by stubhub? Hardly sold out.

    Absolutely ridiculous prices being charged.

You could get a decent seat for £40 for Joshua vs Usyk. Seats near the back are going for over £200 for this fight. Total rip off, especially consider it will likely be over in 3-4 rounds.

Same as Wilder vs Fury 3. What a rip off, just to sit at the back and crane your neck to see it on a screen.

Spurs stadium is alright because of how it's built and the quality and quantity of the big screens, wembley sucks for boxing.

Would rather just stay at home and watch it for £25.

The retiring thing is just usual Fury hot air, people know that.

Stub hub and other touting sites wouldn't have bothered buying up large quantities of tickets unless they knew there was demand anyway. So it's a moot point.

People are going for the atmosphere and experience. The view is generally better at a football game, but the atmosphere and being part of a big event is another reason why people go.

I think all the cheap seats are gone.

They were about £50 when I looked.

I take it you don't go to many football games then, because it absolutely isn't. Trying to watch two people fight in a boxing ring at the back is not the same thing as seeing an entire football pitch where everyone is going to see the action close up to them at some point. It's far easier to see what's going on at the football game than a boxing match.

When you're near the back at a boxing match, there's literally no point trying to focus on the actual fight, you need the screens to have a clue what the **** is going on.

I know what the atmosphere is like, I went to JOshua vs Usyk and it was amazing, and this fight was far more likely to be a spectacle than Fury vs Whyte will be, and you're paying 4-5x the ****ing amount, for a stadium that has less screens , and the back is even further away.

£200-300 quid to see this fight right at the back is a ****ing rip off. I personally want to see the fight's technicalities and appreciate what's actually going on.

The atmosphere is cool, but I want to see the ****ing fight, and I'd be better off in this case just staying at home and watching on a 60 inch HD TV.

Joshua vs Usyk was worth it because I paid £60 for my ticket, and spurs stadium is amazing. You have huge screens each corner of the stadium to see the fight crystal clear.

Wembley is not the same, and not worth quadruple the price I paid for a fight that was likely to be much better.

Yes, I was saying the view is better at a football game than boxing.

Ok, you might not go to a fight for the occasion and atmosphere, but lots of people will. That's why big stadium fights tend to attract lots of football fans. The place will be rocking, especially if the weather is decent. It'll be a really good night after the UK has had so few large events of this scale for 2 years.

Yep, and unfortunately websites like stubhub are allowed to buy a tonne of them so fans that missed out have to pay 2-5x the amount.

I am a fan of capitalism, but sometimes there should be limits.

I never said I don't go for that reason, I do to a certain degree, but is it worth sacrificing a view of what's going on? No.

It's either both or I stay home. Usyk vs Joshua provided both at a good price, and I even got the ticket off viagogo anyway from a friend who got it for £65 quid or so when it was originally £40.

Seeing what's actually going on in a fight is the most important thing, the atmosphere is a bonus. I loved the atmosphere at Joshua Usyk, but It wouldn't have been worth it if the screens weren't so good for me to see the fights in high quality.

It's like when people say the can handle a **** rock gig when the sound quality is **** because it's an opportunity to get drunk and mosh...

**** that, I want to ****ing hear the music, not just distortion.

Ok great - glad you had a nice time at Usyk vs Joshua.

Disagree about live music though, once again it's primarily about the experience rather than the music for most people. I think if you were to see a world class band or artist you'd expect good sound quality though.

Unfortunately, scalpers and scalping sites are often encouraged by people who say "well that's capitalism". But sometimes there are limitations.

Maybe they're right and I have to accept it, but I'd encourage people not to buy from scalpers.

"Well that's capitalism" isn't a one size fits all response though.

It's morally wrong in this instance. There should be more safeguards to prevent it happening. Music festivals manage it, most football games manage it too. Boxing should and can do more to prevent it.
