For a higher percentage. Spends his life worrying about what the other person is making. Doesn't look at the bigger picture that if he wins, he gets the lions share in the next fight.
Behave Gents, there’s zero chance that happens. The PR /commercial mess would be absolutely catastrophic. Warren would sue him for everything he is worth as well - he has a signed bout agreement/contract. Fury- Whyte is sold out (technically) they simply cannot pull Whyte out now after everything that has happened and try to do an AJ fight. It’s just not feasible. Fury alone would label it as “2 beaten, bum dossers /duckers running scared” ....in the case of Whyte, it would be hard to argue with him. Let’s not forget that Whyte has a possible 12m in his skyrocket if he wins and no rematch clause - no way would AJ/Eddie pay anything near that to him.
Can really see Hearn etc spinning how badly done Whyte was. It was just a disgrace etc. Dillians now getting his rightful 40% blah blah. Look at the them ticket sales they have all gone to touts. How do we know anyone will turn up etc
Hearn cannot spin anything. The horse has left the stables. Fury-Whyte is a massive commercial event and its contracted. Touts are always going to be involved - but they wouldn't be if the interest isn't there. The stadium will be full - maybe not 100k but full.
Lewis vs Bruno in 1993 was promoted by Maloney only drew 25k fans at Cardiff Arms Park. I suspect Fury/Whyte will do a decent gate (60-70k) but a 90k sell out seems beyond the realms of reality unless tickets are given away en masse. I suspect the PPV price could be £30 for the first time in the UK as well.
Brixton Bomber, Mitch , UKBoxingFan and Aydamn have all propagated this and I seem to remember Furious going back and forth over this and how things have changed since Fury's reconstructed identity which started way back when he first announced his comeback. Because he was boxing in America the aforementioned members could always peddle the obviously misconception that even the reconstructed version of Fury could not sell out in England simply because it wasn't anywhere near happening. Now said members have egg on their face. They have no problem patting themselves on the back but never own up to their rabid fanboyism for Hearn, Matchroom and Anthony Joshua.
Tyson, a seasoned pro of nearly 14 years, undisputed HW champ etc hasn't even got to Wembley yet. That is a fact, not hate. AJ, and this is a fact, has had multiple fights there AND Hearn started Wembley off amongst this generation AND got the biggest numbers there so far on a consistent basis. Christ, I'd say this as a neutral. These are facts, end of. Not hate, MR bias (can't stand them), but facts. It took Tyson travelling to America to face another belt holder who couldn't draw muck to flys THREE TIMES ON THE TROT to become household. Let's be honest, this is new territory for him. He hasn't fought there yet, yet AJ has had multiple fights there.
“Hasn’t even got to Wembley yet.” You’re saying that as though all good boxers have a rite of passage to box of Wembley, like it’s a natural part of stepping up? Only AJ, Froch and Groves from the UK have headlined Wembley in the last 10 years. Massive stadium fights have only become the norm recently. I don’t understand what your point is saying Tyson is a seasoned pro and then saying Hearn started Wembley fights again for this generation? They aren’t related. At the end of the day, with Tyson’s profile, he is a massive draw and when he fights in the UK he will sell out. Joshua likely the same, though I would be interested to see if his holding power remains if he loses to Usyk again.
Sorry, wasn't your point that Hearn was doing it 'ages ago' and that Warren never had? That's what I was addressing- ie. that Warren had done it and before Hearn did. You seem to be asking a different question now.
Just proves that Tyson is the biggest draw in boxing. Fantastic for him as it stops all the nonsense that he carn't sell out his home town ect. As stated the guy could have sold out Wembley twice over. I would love to know what Eddie and AJ think of this as Eddie has always stated AJ and Canelo are the biggest stars in boxing...... I believe if AJ and Canelo were both on the same bill at Wembley they wouldn't sell it out in 3 hours. Bet Whyte is kicking himself not turning up at the presser and agreeing to an upside that was offered, He has listened to Eddie and shot himself in the foot hoping and praying it would bomb and believing he is a star which evidently he isn't.... What a mug. 100k tickets and 1.5 million PPV buys.
