I've told you how, because every fighter fights below their natural weight, every single one of them. They all make a choice to fight in the division they feel they will perform the best at.

Even Pacquiao who was a small WW would sometimes weigh in at 149 or 150, which is LMW.

Where the hell have you been? Spence has been planning to go to 154 before Crawford even came to 147. Do you know all the top WW cut weight and could be at 154 right now? Spence also has been saying he's fighting Crawford once he get past Ugas for the last title.

Name me one welter weight who walks around 147 after fighting. All the top WW's are naturally bigger than 147. Alot of them 160 and above.

Clearly you wasn't listening to what he was saying. He never struggled to make weight until he became champion and started making millions. Got relaxed and stopped training everyday. The struggle started right before the Mikey Garcia fight. Spence had a nutritionist and strength and condition coach all the way up to the Mikey Fight. He also didn't have them against Porter. Spence didn't get back with a nutritionist or a strength and conditioning coach until after the car accident. Since the Danny Garcia fight, Spence been in shape and hasn't been over 160 lbs.

Everyone takes a stance on this issue in accordance with their own agendas. These guys sign the contracts. However, I think their are “weight bullies” in the sport. If a guy is 21-26 years old, cutting massive weight to fight a smaller guy is much easier. Adrien Broner for example. But once a guy is past 27-28 years old I don’t think he can be classified as a weight bully. The toll of the physical stress he’s putting himself thru at that point negates any advantage he’s gaining by coming in the bigger man.

I had a hunch he’d confess this after Crawford became a free agent.

Also, I don’t think Spence going to 154 will be any kind of escape from bud. I fully believe Bud would go right up after him. I’m not a huge fan of either guy…but it seems obvious to me that Spence is the one trying to avoid this fight. In ring exploits aside, Just watch that video from however many years ago when they met. Bud crawled right into Spence’s head, got comfy and has been there ever since.

But there's a difference if you cut 12lbs late to make 147 or completely killing yourself to cut 21lbs in the same time scale. Almost all fighters are weight cutters, but there obviously are different levels.
It's like the difference between using asthma medication while you don't need it or going full HGH and steroids.
Both are drugcheating, but a huge gap in severity.

He killed himself to make 126/130. He could have easily made 135 till 2010 and 140 till the end of his career.

We absolutely need same day weigh-ins. I'm not excited to watch a diet and sauna contest.

I believe that Spence and the Charlos are self-draining which is causing poor performance. They got so used to boiling down to a smaller weight class and thinking it's an advantage that they haven't realized they're on the other side of the mountain now and would perform better with a smaller cut and rehydration.

Not really. Mayweather never killed himself to make welter, JMM was another fought at welter and was only 148lbs in the ring in the 4th Pac fight. Marquez only gained 5lbs after weighing in against Juan Diaz at lightweight.

Hopkins too was another fighter who didn't kill himself to make weight usually only gaining a few lbs after weighing in at middleweight and the most he ever gained was 8lbs after the weigh in at middleweight when he fought Taylor.

Some fighters feel the need to lose a huge amount of weight and rehydrate for an advantage some seem to prefer to only drop a little weight and be physically 100% rather than drained when going into the fight.

For every such example there are 10 against it.
    Those guys were exceptions.

He did if you believe his coverstory for being caught masking. Then he was a massive weightdrainer, close to death trying to make 147 for the Pac fight.

He didnt kill himself to make 126/130 he moved up to chase Barrera and Morales who were bigger than him at the time. Then again for Hatton & Oscar.

The question is were Cotto and Oscar weight drained or weight bullying
