Michael Moorer vs Canelo Alvarez at 175lbs

I am totally enjoying Canelo's current run ...

But the light heavyweight Michael Moorer stops him.

 

So we're basing this on Ginger having one fight at the weight? against a shell of a man?
Moorer beats Canelo although will need to stop him to make sure.

 

Michael Moorer had a 100% KO ratio at LHW. Based on his success at HW, I'm sure he possessed a good size advantage at the lighter weight. That said, Canelo would ignore 175lb Moorer's existence and avoid him like the plague.

 

Correct. There's levels to this and Canelo is simply unproven at the weight.

 

Canelo is a great fighter. However, I've seen enough of Canelo to know that he'd be committing suicide in a fight with 175lb Moorer.

 

Moorer wins - and probably stops Canelo.

Moorer is massively over rated at LHW. A bit like Mosley at LW. He's seen as this demi god but never proved it in that division, instead going onto enjoy success in a higher weight class.

So I'm not writing Canelo off, after all he might go on to beat Bivol and Beterbiev.

But right now this second, if they were scheduled to fight, I'd make Moorer a big favourite.

 

Moorer was a beast at 175 and Alvarez has just had one fight at the weight, albeit a good win. I have to go with Moorer in this one. or what @chacal already said. Geez.

Is this a joke? Despite Moorer being a converted southpaw and not a natural one, his straight left will be a harder shot than anything Canelo faced at LHW including a faded Kovalev. Not to mention the big southpaw right hook. No way is Canelo able to take a flush right hook from Moorer.
